"Lovely large house in nice rural setting. Good heating ensured it was warm. Kitchen very well supplied with utensils etc. Very clean. Only negative feedback relates to the quality and supply of the linen we paid extra for. We had to make the beds, and linen was not overly good quality and bit limited (1towel each & no flannels). Also the “5th bedroom” is bit misleading as is a pull out couch in the kitchen. Fine for family but not appropriate for our arrangement where separate bedrooms were...

"As a group of 6 women we enjoyed the stay and amenities. The bedroom layout was suited to us well. 2 bedrooms and bathrooms at each end of house with living in between."

"We loved our stay and wish it could have been longer. The house is gorgeous, new and beautifully styled (we all admired the colour scheme) with lovely touches like blankets for sitting outside while we watched the sun rise. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds comfortable, the fireplace a lovely spot to unwind in front of and the view absolutely stunning. Thank you Rhonda, it was the perfect place for a last girls' weekend away."

"This is a beautiful home which unfortunately is not being as well maintained as it should be. In spite of that we had a lovely time and enjoyed the peace and serenity. The grounds are lovely and the pool looked great. Just a shame the weather wasn’t better for us to enjoy. This would be an ideal place to host a family get together with plenty of room for the grandkids too. Definitely good value for money."

"We stayed from Friday afternoon to Monday morning to celebrate my birthday. Beautiful spot and the house feels like a proper kiwi bach. Plenty of firewood although we hardly needed it as the place gets lots of sun. They rely on people leaving the place clean as it is a long way from anywhere and it was acceptable but not sparkling.The swimming is good nearby although there are warnings about the currents between the shore and the reef.Thank you."

"We had the perfect base for our Martinborough visit. The bed was super comfortable, great shower and lots of hot water. Very well equipped with everything. Loved the space and inside/outside balance. 'Hot' tub (because we dialled the temperature down,) was a great relaxer at the end of a day of exploring and walking. We would happily stay again. Few things needed attention but property agents responsive to contact."

"We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Venice Street. The house is spacious, with four good size comfortable bedrooms and two well-appointed bathrooms—perfect for a group getaway. It was clean and had everything we needed for a stress-free weekend. We especially loved how close it was to the Square—just a few minutes' walk to cafes, shops, and bars. Highly recommend this property for a girls’ weekend or a group trip to Martinborough!"

"Excellent place to stay but we had issues with intermittent cold showers in dormitory room. The stays on high cupboards holding coffee mugs did not work and need replacing or repairing. This malfunction indirectly somehow caused the empty salt container on the shelf above with the baskets, fall into the open drawer containing the tableware and breaking 4 bread and butter plates. This accident occurred while we were unloading the dishwasher and loading the coffee mugs into there cupboard above...

"We loved Martinborough and the surrounding area, it looked especially beautiful in all the autumn colours but found the cottage very cold, especially when we first arrived. Perhaps it would be a nice gesture for guests arriving in the cooler months for the host to turn on the heaters before the guests arrive to take some of the chill off the air. It took a long time for the cottage to warm up the first day but once it did with the fire going we were much happier."

"Loved the fact that two bedrooms were in a separate part of the house and gave privacy to everyone. Bathrooms great, kitchen amazing and location was fantastic. Wish we had more time to use all the facilities like the pools. Would stay again."

"The property was lovely, needed a dishbrush and goldie locks for dished, missing pot lids. Didn't know if floor had been cleaned as soles of feet got very dirty. Perhaps a mat at front door might help. Ensuite toilet roll holder needs tightening. An umbrella for the outdoor area would have been nice."

"Overall stay was good, however we did not have linen and towel for one of the rooms. And it was delivered late on Saturday evening.It is a lovely family friendly place, ideal for kids lots of toys and the playhouse outside was a bonus."
