  • The Stables: a detached converted stable block with a pleasant south facing garden with panoramic views, only 5 miles from Launceston and 40 minutes from the coast.. Ground Floor:

    Kitchen: Electric Cooker, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine

    Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Toilet

    First Floor:

    Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed

    Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds

    Bathroom: Bath, Toilet. Electric central heating, electricity (by solar power), bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair. Patio with garden furniture and barbecue. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. This property is situated in the Tamar Valley and is ideal for couples and small families looking for a spot of peaceful rural life. Friendly dogs are welcome. Converted from a stone stable, this detached holiday cottage is situated in the owner’s grounds, has a homely, cosy interior and is set in an elevated position with stunning panoramic views of rolling countryside and fir forests with the River Inny meandering through the valley below. There are a variety of dog walks from the property. It is set midway between Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor in the Tamar Valley and about 40 minutes from the north and south coasts. It is just five miles south of the historic town of Launceston with its iconic medieval castle set high on a hill. The Stables has its own cobbled south-facing courtyard with lawned garden. The owners live next door. The Springer Spaniel pub and restaurant is 1 mile and Tre Pol Pen farm shop and cafe is 2 miles away.

A very warm welcome from the owners.

A very warm welcome from the owners. Beautiful location and good value for money. Mattresses in the twin room were a bit thin/soft which is a consideration if (like me) you can have back trouble. It was peaceful and a good location for visiting both south and north Cornwall coasts. Newquay was our best day out.

Fantastic location for us,isolated with beautiful uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside ,a lovely surprise as this wasn't apparent from the photo of the property.Would love to go back.Great for dogs.Owners live next door ,there if need be but not intrusive .

Really friendly, warm welcome to this well equipped and surprisingly spacious cottage. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to get away from it all.
