Downtown the Mount - Walk to the beach, harbour, shops and restaurants!

This spot is perfect for couples looking to enjoy both the stunning Mount beach and the lively downtown Mount Maunganui. It's a cosy, clean place to crash, with location being its top selling point.

Right next to a 500-year-old protected pohutukawa tree, it's the ideal spot to ditch the car and explore everything nearby on foot.

A short alley away from Mount Main Street shopping, and you can walk to both Pilot Bay and the main beach in just a few minutes. There’s also a Four Square supermarket only 250m from the house.

Check out the Little Big Markets, or in the summer, hit up the awesome Gourmet Night Market—both just a 2-minute walk away at Coronation Park. And of course, no visit to the Mount is complete without a stroll around (or up!) "The Mount" which is also nearby.

About the space...It's a self-contained, ground floor apartment with a small courtyard at the rear. Our family lives upstairs with our pets, and your privacy is important to us. We try to keep things quiet, especially after 10pm. You'll have a parking spot on our driveway for your use.

Note: We prefer couples, but we do have a fold-out single bed that can be set up for an extra child or adult under 80kg.

We are happy to accommodate reasonable offers, please don't hesitate to contact us if you need anything. Please leave the place as you found it :)

This garage coversion is very well situated to walk to the beach and the cafe strip. It has all the ammenites you need for a short stay. Booking and accessing property was very easy and the bed was very comfortable

Great location! Just a few things would have made it perfect. Ants in kitchen and moth plague in clothes cupboard so some insect spray would have been helpful. No cleaning products supplied and some things needed cleaning on arrival. No spare bin bags. Nice little courtyard for meals but dog poo left on grass around it got really stinky and fly ridden. Still a really good place to stay.

excellent property close to shops

Slight problem with internet dropping out but it was fixed as soon as it was brought to owners attention. main light bulb in bedroom OOO, gas stove seemed to need attention on one hob kept sparking after it was lit. Overall fantastic few days there, Thanks.

Great Location

Overall the space is fairly sub-par, as the ceilings are low, the wifi is not good, its not very clean (smells musty and had to do some cleaning ourselves), and just needs some work. On the other hand, the location is absolutely amazing and the hosts are really friendly and good communicators. I would say youre choosing this place for the location and not so much for the actual space.

Small apartment in excellent location.. needs a bit of TLC though

The property is located perfectly for walking to local restaurants, the Mount and the beach. While it ticked all the boxes the decor did appear a bit tired. Bed was comfortable but towels were hard and didn’t smell very fresh. The fridge was completely frosted up. The seating outside was pretty dirty and the back gate access as described was blocked off. The whole place would have benefited from a bit more prep before guests arrived.

Great cozy little unit. Great location close to restaurants, shops, Bay Oval and the mount itself. All I’m walking distance. Would definitely stay again it need arises. Could do with the coffee replaced though.

Great Location ,dirty unit

First impressions were good with good location. However the unit had not been cleaned properly. The oven was so dirty we felt it was unusable. Lights above the kitchen bench and stove would not work, changing the bulbs did not work.

Good location

Not as clean as I would have hoped. I had to wash glasses, coffee mugs before using. I also had to wash bathroom basin. The sheets on bed were mismatched and there was musty smell about the place. Rear door was locked so not up to fire safety standard. I just couldn’t feel comfortable there but location was good.

Mislead by the photos

Photos showed a BBQ on a balcony. This didn’t exist as part of the accommodation. Also showed another outdoor area with table and chairs- which is a building site- no outdoor area at all. Lights over kitchen area were not fixed even though we informed the owners. We had x10 dead bulbs to begin with which were replaced except for the 3 in the kitchen which needed more than new bulbs to get working. Should have been represented as indoor accomodation only!

This property is a perfect location close to town , the middle to Main surf Beach and Pilot Bay. Sunsets in Pilot Bay with a bottle of wine just perfect. All cooking facilities that you need Just perfect thank you.
