"We loved the fact that it was isolated away from everyone and everything and all we could hear was nature! We enjoyed the birds singing in the morning and the deer walking around us at night. The night skies are amazing with all the stars shining. We caught some rain which was perfect to watch from the wrap around porch. Only thing I’ll add is the cabin needed a full size refrigerator because I took frozen foods and they only provided a small size fridge."

"Great place for our getaway will stay again soon. Just bring bed sheets. pillows and blankets and towels kitchens are full equipped for cooking. Place was big and roomy and cozy Had a fireplace but didn’t use it. The area is under a burn ban at the moment so we wasn’t able to use firepit at nights walking distance to water hole to soak your feet for the time being Leakey about a 10min drive or so. A convenience store is about a 5min drive. Garner State park is about 10min drive as well. Very...

"Normally stay at a cabin at Garner SP, but due to road construction they weren't available, but so glad we found PeachTree cottage. Nice and quiet, set far enough off the road to feel secluded, but a very short drive to Lost Maples SP. Clean and had plenty of gear for cooking. Would definitely come back!"

"Our trip was very relaxing. The views were beautiful. It rained a lot but there were plenty of games and puzzles. The younger generation were amazed by the old phones. This is a beautiful little town and home. "

"So lovely and eclectic !! Loved the decor and proximity to the water (I took a chilly November dip!) The house was beautiful, but our really highlight was the forewoman Teri. She was so kind and cool and helpful. We hope to come back soon :)"

"We enjoy our weekend at Deer Run Cabin. The property along with the town seemed quite and safe. Prefect for relaxing. About a 30 minute drive to Lost Maples Park. "

"It was perfect, The cabin was beautiful. we saw lots of hummingbirds, beautiful birds, wild turkeys , deer, and bunny rabbits! The back deck was so nice to sit and relax! We wil definitely be coming back in the future! "

"Had a great time, house was comfortable. Loved the fact that access to the river was limited by natural barriers up and down river. Limited our ability to kayak very far, but also limited others using the river where we were."

"Honestly, yes this place is like a 30minute drive from any grocery store or food, but we booked this house knowing that was gonna be a small struggle. Overall we felt very welcomed in this home the moment we walked in. I feel like the house was perfectly designed to bring you peace as your surrounded by nature, and even though I get home-sick easily, something about this cabin made it so hard to say goodbye. "Even though we’re from Texas and thought we knew the hill country area, we were amazed at the views all around us. The area is serene and beautiful. We felt like we got away from all the hustle and bustle while we were here. The house is comfy and feels like you’re all alone out in the hills, which is just what we wanted. Brent was a great host and replied promptly. Thank you for hosting us!"
