Bahia Langosta is a well-appointed condo complex of 23 units right at the beach in Playa Langosta.

Langosta is a prime destination for relaxing, surfing, and fishing and our concierge service will be at your disposal!

Playa Langosta is a high-end neighborhood in Tamarindo, Surrounded by multi-million dollar homes and exuberant nature, this is the best place for vacations.
It is located a short 2-minute drive on a brand new cement road or a 15-minute walk where you will be able to see monkeys and exotic birds along the way.

The beach has tide pools perfect for little kids to discover colorful fish and your occasional octopus.
Towards the estuary (less than 100 from the public entrance) you have calm and refreshing waters with plenty of shade and right in front of it you have the local's favorite surf spot, It is common to see lots of people with their surfboards walking around or even in their bicycles.

There is a store with all the products you need and 3 restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

The guests will have access to the entire property.

Tamarindo is 1 hour away from the Liberia Airport, you can arrange shuttles or car rentals through us with special prices and discounts.

Once in Tamarindo you can rely on the informal taxi service or rent an ATV to move around and discover some amazing beaches 30 minutes away from us.

Great location, next to Barcelo Resort, but unit is on opposite side, so no noise. Easy beach access to great surf spot. Incredible Italian restaurant across the street, ate 3 times there. Nice little market up the dirt road, has everything you need. Unit was clean, AC worked properly. Pool perfect. Nice touch with the bottle of wine, fresh bread, homemade garlic/herb pesto on our arrival. Management very responsive to minor issue with front door lock, 1/2 hour after call, guy was there to assist. 15 minute walk to the hustle and bustle of downtown. Would definitely stay again!

Close enough to walk to everything

We had a family of two adults and 3 young adults/teens. While I would say the VRBO might be better suited for smaller kids, we could definitely make it work. The location is not right in Tamarindo but if you are up for a decent walk you are close to the beach and can walk over. VRBO had everything we needed and a super lovely welcome gift. Enjoyed our stay!

Vacation March/April 2025

We had a great time in Costa Rica. We stayed at a condo at Bahia Longosta Condominiums. The location is nice, far enough away from the busy Tamarindo center bur close enough to walk and enjoy the restaurants. We stayed in #2 and thought it was a perfect place. We enjoyed the howler monkeys and the birds living in the small treed area next door and had easy access to the beaches. Lola, our concierge was wonderful and helped us arrange many things. We had a nice vacation and look forward to visiting Costa Rica again! Thanks!

Perfect place for our family

We loved our stay here. For our families needs and wants this place was perfect. My son (11) loved the pool and being right off the beach was perfect. We were in the ocean every day. The second bathroom was great to have. The deck was wonderful and we were out there whenever we weren't at the beach or pool.

Good location if you like quietness

Check-in was easy, unit was clean but it's starting to show its age. Being steps away from the beach is tough on a property. Everything worked, yes there were a few ants but nothing too crazy. Pool was very quiet but could be cleaner. Once again, not terrible but I've seen better. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location is great. The beach is quiet and we found the rocks to be perfect for our young kids as at low tide they could play in the puddles. Walking to tamarindo is doable but certainly a bit too far woth young kids and 38 degrees Celsius weather. A car, golf cart or bike (electric scooters are available to rent) works well. Uber from downtown was about 2500 colones one way and worked very well too. Couple restaurants in Langosta were very good. If you are therr for a week and want to experience tamarindo I would stay in Tamarindo but if like us you're there for longer and want to stay just outside the city this unit fits the bill. All ot needs is a little tlc and it would be back to a 10/10.

We could have not asked for a better location. The condo had a great set-up for 2 couples. Lots of towels/beach towels, extra sheets/blankets. ice already ready for cold drinks and a nice little welcome package when we arrived! The beach was gorgeous and a beautiful short walk into Tamarindo. Would definitely come back and stay here!

Long Term Stay

This Condo was in a fabulous location for us as we were there for almost 3 months. The sunsets were incredible, we were within walking distance to Tamarindo where the action is, but we were able to have the serenity of Playa Langosta. The restaurants in the area were fabulous and a wonderful little store that could accommodate us for a lot of our needs. We had a few issues but the management team worked to solve those issues while we were there. The only issue that I would say is that the furniture is getting little worn out, but the master bed was very comfortable, which was huge for a long stay. We definitely enjoyed our stay.

Amazing experience!

Playa Langosta is a lovely place to stay with your family! It’s quiet, yet still close to the hub of Tamarindo. The beach is quiet, sandy and in my opinion much nicer than the area in Tamarindo. The condo was clean, communication was great, and the pool area was lovely! I would highly recommend this location to anyone!!

Would stay again

Overall good stay. Accommodations are a little outdated and worn out but location is close to downtown via bus or taxi. A little too far to walk. Nice size for a family. Comfortable beds. Beach isn’t great but nice pool. Ant problem in the condo so had to keep all our food in the fridge. Had all the supplies we needed like dishes, pans, etc. Good place for the money.

Fantastic condo for a family of four

We travelled as a family to Bahia Lagosta, minutes away from Tamarido in Costa Rica. Our impression of the unit we rented is very positive and we really enjoyed our stay there. The location is perfect. 2 minutes walk to the beach but the real bonus is the park right next to the unit where we could see howler monkeys, iguanas, butterflies, birds and more. It was just like having our own little zoo next door. We could easily see the monkeys from the lanai. A small grocery store is at a walking distance as well. The lanai is a great place to spend some time, again surrounded by nature. It is big and could sit easily the four of us. There is a ceiling fan on the lanai which makes it even more comfortable. The pool is a great area. There is plenty of shade either under the trees or under the giant palapa that covers 2 patio tables. There is plenty of chairs for every one. The pool was very quiet. We were the only ones using it most of the time ( 2 first weeks of august) The space inside the property is more than enough for a family of four, even 6 if you have 4 kids. Our kids were 13 and 11 at the time of our visit. They had their own bathroom and we had the ensuite bathroom for us. The room of the kids is a nice plus with the two separate double beds . The kitchen could have more equipment. A dishwasher would be a nice addition. Bahia lagosta is a quiet spot only minutes away from the fun place that is Tamarindo. We would definitely rent again!

Location was perfect with a short walk to Playa Langosta, unit was clean with a homie feel too it! All three of us throughly enjoyed it. The only problem we had and there maybe nothing the owners can do, we’re the ants! I never felt overwhelmed with them but they kept appearing all over . Overall I loved it and would stay again

Great place!

This is a great location just outside Tamarindo in Langosta. The condo is less than a minute walk from Langosta beach. Great surfing for intermediate surfers close by. It is about a 15 min 20 min walk into Tamarindo, so I may suggest renting a golf cart or side by side for fun and convenience. Bus is available. We were happy to walk. The condo was very clean and spacious. 2 bed 2 bath with A/C and fans. The balcony is a very nice place to sit and listen to the ocean and hang out. There are 3 restaurants with great food a short walk away and you can pay to eat at the resort next door. 24 hour gated security, friendly staff and residents and very well taken care of grounds and pool area. The Langosta community is very welcoming. Our group had a great experience!

Great Apartment!

Great apartment with plenty of room for our family of 4. Lots of room inside and out for the 2 teens to spread out in. Great WIFI. The lounge on the balcony was a favorite! Great property, well maintained public space and pool. We used the kitchen every night to make dinner, and it had just about everything we needed. Only thing we missed was a barbecue, but other than that the property was great.

Langosta Retreat

It was our first time in CR and we were there to surf and do a couple of tours. We rented a car and drove from San Jose. The drive was easy but I recommend flying into Liberia. We arrived around 8pm (after dark) and it was a bit confusing where to pick up our after-hours check-in package. After finding the correct guard gate we were all set. We really enjoyed our time at this condo. For the price It is 5 star. It was well appointed, clean, and secure. The condo grounds are well maintained and the gate is opened and closed for you when you leave and is guarded 24hrs with very friendly staff. There were some ants, but that can be expected in all CR accommodations. It is only a few steps to the beach and world class surf breaks (not for beginners) that my son and I took full advantage of everyday we were there. So epic. There is an estuary next store that the locals all swim in at slack tide, with no real concern for crocodiles apparently. Across the river mouth is miles of pristine natural park beach to walk and is beautiful. The master bedroom has a very firm mattress, that takes some getting used to (at least for us) also there is no dishwasher, which may not be common in CR. Other than that this place can't be beat for the price. It is out of the hustle of tamarindo but close enough to drive to for supplies and such. We will be back, in fact we tried to come back. RPM was great to work with and put us up on short notice in a different unit when our Avellanas accommodations fell through after we already checked out of this unit (which was booked). I highly recommend this property. Rent a car and save money on driving around town and to your own tours (we did Diamante Adventure Park and Guichpelin at Rincon De La Viejo). If not RPM can arrange tours for you.

The property is very nice, fully equipped and well located. On the downside, there are 30 condos but just 14 parking spots, do not leave any food on the sink counter because small roaches come out at night.

Great location in residential section, close to town

A great family-friendly property in a residential community just about 1 mile from all the shops and restaurants. It was a little too far to walk but easy drive and easy to park. Condo was large and spacious with nice amenities. It was open enough to not use swamp cooler or minisplit—just ceiling fans and open windows. Balcony was large and open with sounds of waves and site lines to ocean. Beach is super long and wide and clear with big waves. Tidal river was swift and deep, so not good for little kids (plus potential crocs further in!). I worried about rip tides a bit, and there was a red flag warning for our entire stay, but that didn’t stop surfers and adult swimmers. Great sandy beach for long walks and beautiful spot for the sunset.
