"We had a three day stay in Phelps. Really nice lakefront home on a gorgeous lake. The house is quite close to several other homes and piers, but none were occupied during our stay. Beautiful lakefront, nice pier, great fire pit. Beds are comfortable. Plenty of quality towels and linens. If you're coming with plans to cook, be sure to bring your own kitchen basics like S/P and cooking oil as there were no staples in the house. The house has a standby generator which was a real plus as the area...

"Very private setting and extremely quiet. On dead end road and very little traffic. The small lake is a gem, particularly because there are no motorboats. Access to hiking, including in the Sylvania Wilderness, is a real plus. For folks looking for a true northwoods getaway free from noise, traffic and crowds and surrounded by natural beauty, this place qualifies."

"It was a great spot for us to journey all over the UP for our week there, John is very responsive and local to help if anything was needed. "

"Lovely house set in a large grassy yard (perfect for badminton, ghosts in the graveyard or just running around) and fronting onto a lovely quiet lake great for swimming and kayaking (house has a couple kayaks to borrow). The house shares a sandy beach and dock with an adjacent rental, perfect for kids and adults. We had two families staying including 3 adult kids, one teenager, and the set up worked out very well. We'd love to come back next year. "

"The cabin is beautiful, set in a rustic and peaceful location; it’s even better in person than in the photos. The interior was cozy, well-designed, with lots of thoughtful touches. We weren’t able to enjoy the water due to the cold weather, but there’s clearly plenty to do when it’s warmer outside. The hosts were super responsive and very on top of things, which we really appreciated. That said, there was a bit of a push to add extras or reminders about potential fees, which felt a little out of...

"Property was beautiful enough room for six adults absolutely stunning views. The dock was able to accommodate six adults coffee out. There was wonderful. The sunrise the sunset the weather. It was amazing and we will be back. The owner had recommended Bubba‘s boats. The boat was delivered when we arrived. The whole process was so easy."
