"Tatsuno is a charming, former samurai town that is easily explored on foot. We were in the area to visit the Hijemi Castle, and were very happy to be in Tatsuno, away from the bustle of tourists.
The machiya is large, beautiful, elegant, and very comfortable...we could spread out and relax. We loved our short stay in the refurbished traditional home. As designers, we appreciated the architecture and tasteful decor. The traditional bathroom, with soaking tub, had lovely amenities. The garden is a...

"Only stayed one night but should've stayed longer. The facilities were wonderful! Although the bathroom/shower were outside, the facilities were beautiful and clean. The tent was spacious with great a/c. Bought food from the grocery store down the street and rented the grill and had a great time. It was nice and relaxing."
