"Parking was easy and the hotel was easy to find. Beautiful pool but sadly it was closed for some reason. It did appear that there were two vehicles that were packed with stuff, and that people might be living in the vehicles. The room was clean but floor needed to be washed. The staff didn’t even smile when I checked in and out but when I returned to get my phone charger I left - she did give me a lil grin when I returned the key. "Rhonda is a fantastic host and made us feel very welcome. Rooms are charming and thoughtful decorated in a home with a long history. Plenty of street parking near house. We spent the evening on J Street and found a wonderful coffee house nearby the next morning. Great location on the edge of downtown Sacramento and a wonderful experience."

"A little gem of a stay in the historic poverty ridge district. The penthouse is converted attic space that sleeps four easily. There is coffee tea and water all day and a simple continental breakfast. historic home, but we had plenty of hot water for showers. Short a few bathroom towels for our stated number of guests, sure we could have asked for more but we were just here for one night. The grounds are beautifully maintained. Glad to have found this gem. "
