Wake up to panoramic views of the Puget Sound, stroll the short walk to Old Town and the waterfront, then toast the day's end while drinking in the sunset. Perched on a hill overlooking the Puget Sound, this high-end property is mere minutes away from all of the entertainment and dining offered in the Proctor neighborhood and downtown Tacoma. We can't wait to host you!

This listing is for the BOTTOM unit of a duplex. Each unit sleeps six and both can be rented for a total of 12 guests.

This tastefully renovated Tacoma property features high-end amenities and a modern vibe. Enjoy a bottle of wine (from the tasting room only blocks away) in front of the gas fireplace. Socialize with guests and enjoy the view while cooking in the well-appointed kitchen with stainless appliances and quartz counters. Enjoy the full en-suite bathrooms, flat screen televisions, full capacity washer and dryer, and comfortable sleeping space for six guest with a king bed in the front master, queen in the back master, and a surprisingly comfortable full-size fold-away in the spare closet!

Our home is one of the more updated, modern, and clean you will come across, with great care taken in nearly every detail. You will not be disappointed after staying with us!

NEIGHBORHOOD
This is by the far the best neighborhood in Tacoma, right in the heart of Old Town and two blocks from the waterfront with expansive views of the Puget Sound. Just minutes from the Tacoma Dome, Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium, and Point Ruston (with a movie theatre and amazing shopping and dining). Guests can hit the Proctor farmer's market, the fresh fish market on Ruston Way, or explore nightlife in downtown Tacoma. Three are Uber drivers aplenty, the bus stop is within a block, and you can even ride bikes.

PARKING
Ample on-street parking available, and for persons who cannot do the staircase from the front street, back street parking is also available.

Please note that the front of the property is on a main road, and while it's typically not an issue, sensitive sleepers may notice some traffic noise.
Accessing this property requires navigating steps with no railing. The front of the property has a somewhat steep and narrow staircase up from 30th street. The path from the alley at the back of the property has fewer steps with railings on most stairs.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay at this location over a short 5 day trip with our family. It was well set up for us to bring our 6 year old and 5 month old with us, including a crib in the guest room and 2 pack & plays for more flexible usage throughout the apartment. The master shower was also fantastic for coming in on a cold, rainy day with its high pressure and dual heads. The kitchen was also well stocked in terms of equipment, including coffee machine, adjustable temperature water kettle (great for warming bottles) and a variety of pots, pans and utensils. Overall, it was plenty of space for our family and gave us the flexibility we needed for our trip. It was also within a 10 minute drive of many great places to visit (zoo, children's museum, etc) and places to eat (Wren's Bakery, Welcome Restaurant, Red Elm Cafe & Duke's Seafood). Only downside is the recycling sorting, but that's out of their control. We would stay here again if we were in the area.

This was such a beautiful home with wonderful views of the Puget Sound. The place was very cleam, well equipped and lots of nice little touches to make our stay comfortable. Loved our three night stay at this location! Easy check in/out and easy parking right in front of the house. Kitchen well equipped and nice comfy beds,beautiful view of the bay!!!Perfect location for day trips to Olympic Rainforest, Seattle. Spent lovely day in Tacoma. Don’t miss Dune Peninsula at Point Defiance Park for a lovely stroll along the bay with stunning views of Mount Rainier and art installations with great historical references. Would definitely recommend!

Everything went extremely well. Communication was excellent. We had a few questions ant the owners were both quick to respond. Furnished beautifully, the area has plenty to do, restaurants and the waterfront within walking distance. Close to downtown and other points of interest. The neighborhood is lovely and quiet.We have it as a place to stay again when we return to Tacoma. Defiantly would recommend as a place to stay.

Family Vacation over the 4th

This was a great location to spend our time in the Tacoma–Seattle area. We picked the spot because of its location between Seattle and Mount Rainier National Park. The house was a great size for a family of four. It was clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. We appreciated that the location is a short walk to food and coffee shops. Parking was also very easy. There is a decent amount of train and traffic noise, but if that’s not an issue for you, this is a fantastic spot.

Old Tacoma Gem

The facility was very clean and well kept. There were a lot of steps to get to it but once there it was worth climbing the steps. The view was very very nice. We had one issue with the air conditioning and it was fixed promptly. Communicating with the host was easy. We would not hesitate renting this place again.

Amazing little home

This was an amazing little home. We did have an issue with the AC, but the owner was super responsive and had it fixed the next day.I will point out that this place is on a very steep hill and is on one of the main roads in the area. So the road noise is a bit more than you might expect. That said, it quiets down just after sunset and was not an issue at all. So don't be turned off when you arrive and see cars everywhere.The area is amazing and we would happily stay here again.
