Good Vibes

Inexpensive, clean, accommodating. An owner-run motel no one needs to be afraid of. He cooks your breakfast to order while you wait. A good man whose attitude attracts similar staff. Everyone who works there seems happy. We parked right in front of our door like in the old days. Can't beat it.

This property is not safe. The door had pry marks on them like it had been broken into. The room was very dirty. It had not been vacuumed, swept, or dusted. There were dead bugs. It was literally disgusting. We left and found a hotel that was clean enough to sleep in.

What a horrible old hotel. Carpet was old, smelly, sticky and had a giant wrinkle in the floor. Both beds the top sheet was changed but not the bottom sheet! I know this because the bottom sheet had blood, hair, and crumbs in it when we pulled back top sheet. Pillow cases not on pillows. Called front desk , he brought one sheet and 3 pillow cases...then wanted to wait until I changed the bottom and fitted sheet so he could get the old ones back as that is there policy. Toilet was black with stain and mold,

Stayed bc my 14 year old loves to swim

If you can't handle stairs this place isn't for you. I know it is in the process of being remodeled which u am sure is costing 1000s.. so they are working on it as we speak. It American owned which is super important to me so this is where I will be staying when I go there. They have a super nice pool and outdoor area, restaurant and bar.

Staff was great, room was needing repair, sink was cracked, floor felt like you could fall through at any moment, shower would randomly go from scalding to ice cold no matter the settings. Hopefully the new management can get these things fixed

Good deal in Sweetwater!

We needed a room during a big winter storm and Sweetwater Inn provided a great deal. We had a made to order breakfast, late checkout and a huge room. Front desk was great, very nice during a very stressful time as we needed flexibility as we waited for the storm to pass. It’s not the Hilton but the bed was comfortable, water was hot and breakfast was yummy! And coffee maker in the room with fridge and microwave.

Great stay. Amazing people running the place. Room was big, both beds were super comfortable although thats if you prefer a firm bed like i do. Will absolutely be staying again next time im in town!

Highly enjoyed it

Wonderful stay. The room was home-like, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast cooked to order was a delightful and unique surprise. Friendly staff/owners. Great pool and lovely grounds. Will definitely return if we're in the area again!!

Very friendly and helpful staff. A little tough to get my room cleaned, and I wish the pool had been open (although it did rain a lot, so...), and the room's TV was a little wonky, but the breakfast was great, and the location was terrific. Will the 'Lounge' building ever re-open?

One room was so nasty it had not been cleaned after previous occupants had left. The second room just smelled. The hot water had been shut off for the entire hotel and this was not mentioned when I checked in! So we had to wait a day to take a shower or take an ice cold one. And when I get the charge on my credit card it was for a higher rate than what I booked it for!

Pleasant place to rest

Most of the reviews are correct. I read the reviews and decided some of the complaints were situational and for the price you can’t really expect the Waldorf Astoria. I would definitely stay here again. We stayed for 3 nights. We knew what to expect because we looked at the pics, read reviews and for the price we had a certain expectation. I had 2 cons. In our particular room a king bed room the curtains weren’t wide enough for the window so when we slid them together there would be an opening on one side so someone could look into our room. My second con would be the bathtub. It wasn’t so much dirty as it was stained - I’m assuming this hotel is making yearly improvements or little by little to its rooms. I’d definitely say to make some sort of change to the tub. I really didn’t even want to step foot into it - again they were like rust stains not dirt or anything but it just wasn’t pleasing to the eye. Maybe they can be painted over? We left too early for breakfast each day which is a bummer. At one point we needed a later checkout time and we called the front desk and they reached out to their manager and we were given a later check out time. That’s was really appreciated. Customer service goes a long way in our book. The bed was super comfy in my opinion. The TV’s are just dated but they work and they provide cable - oh and the WiFi was fast! We called the front desk and someone came right over to show us how to work it (the TV).Great customer service.
