  • Built in 2005, this annexe (located in the grounds of the main house) offers very comfortable accommodation for 2 people. Well-located in the village of Bishopston it offers easy access to Gower, Mumbles and the nearby beaches. The annexe is just a 20 minute walk through Bishop's Wood nature reserve to Caswell Bay, and a 25 minute walk to the secluded Brandy Cove or beautiful Pwll Du.


    Bishopston has 3 pubs all serving good quality food and real ales - the fully refurbished Plough and Harrow in particular provides contemporary fine dining. The village also has a supermarket, and a surf shop where surf equipment can be hired.

    Ground Floor: Open plan kitchen/lounge/diner, bedroom and bathroom.


    Lounge: Two 2-seat leather sofas, flatscreen TV and DVD player and a CD player Fire (decorative purpose only).


    Dining Room: Table and chairs for 4.


    Kitchen: Oven and hob, fridge with icebox, microwave.


    Bedroom: Double bed, mirrored wardrobes and bedside tables. There are also double doors into the courtyard.


    Bathroom: Bath with shower over, WC and basin.


    External: Off road parking for 2 cars and a small courtyard with Astroturf and patio furniture for 2.

We highly recommend the Annexe because we've just had the most wonderful time there.The bungalow is clean, well equipped and big enough to feel at home. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the deck very much. It is isolated from the street and within easy reach of Caswell Beach on foot and of the South Gower Road.Excellent location! We could easily travel everywhere in Gower. There are beautiful walks in the area if you like walking! And stunning beaches.All in all, we only missed a shelf above the sink to put our products on.

Disappointing

No welcome whatsoever from the owners, not even an hello all week. The outside photo of bungalow is out of date! Very close proximity to owners house as an extension must have been built on house after photo taken also bungalow fenced in which isn’t shown. Big cobwebs in lounge behind tv, bedroom ceiling, wardrobes and bathroom, also dog hairs on kitchen floor. We caught at least 12 huge spiders, 1 or 2 every day and made us very uncomfortable in bed or getting up in the night, they were running on floor, up walls and curtains. Dead spiders also in bedroom light shade. Consequently we didn’t sleep very well. WiFi advertised but very poor and virtually non existent. Hot tap in kitchen would not turn off properly unless we used a tea towel. (Already mentioned in visitors book but ignored!) We considered leaving early but weather picked up so spent most of the time either in car or walking and we were 5 hours away from home anyway. Definitely would not recommend!!
