"Happy West" at Holden Beach - This Beachfront Duplex on the popular East End is one of the best oceanfront values the island has to offer! Rent both sides for double the fun! Enjoy fantastic views from this 3 bedroom, 2 bath oceanfront duplex located on the East End of Holden Beach. This home is convenient to restaurants, shopping, bars & water sports! Allow yourself to be mesmerized by the Atlantic Ocean from your dune front covered porch where you can almost feel the refreshing ocean spray on your face. Private beach access walkway right at your steps! Bedroom 1 features a queen bed and shares a hall bath. Bedroom 2 features a queen bed and Bedroom 3 offers 2 single twin beds, both rooms share a hall bath and are located on the 2nd level. Standard amenities include central heat & air, dishwasher, microwave, washer & dryer, ice-maker, color cable TV. Outside, you'll enjoy the convenience of parking underneath the house. Rent along with "Happy East" for a total of 6 bedrooms and 4 baths!

Happy on the Beach

The house is lovely from the outside and the beach-front porch and view are perfect! We thoroughly enjoyed sitting there watching the waves break and listening to the ocean sounds. The management company are very helpful and responded to our inquiries quickly.

Roaches

The place had roaches. They had sent the exterminator the following day even though they sprayed, it doesn't eliminate them. I feel you need to keep that place unoccupied to properly deal with the bugs. It's never fun having to pack to leave, even worse when I have to inspect my belongings to ensure im not taking any roaches home with me

Holden Beach Vacay 2020

We were very pleased with our property. It could use a little updating, but nothing major. It was clean and everything worked fine. The cable went out for a couple of hours, but the rental agent and cable repair guy was very prompt and it was taking care of right away. The beach itself was PERFECT. I highly recommend Holden and VRBO and Proactive rentals.

Killed Two Cockroaches

The listed claimed the property was updated, but was fairly rough. Multiple windows were very rusted, the carpet was torn, the kitchen floor had tears in the vinyl, the fridge had a broken door and missing shelves. Many lights were out, such as the main floor bathroom. The beds were supposedly new but obviously the cheapest thing the owner could buy. We only stayed two nights despite booking for three. Absolutely would not recommend and would tell everyone to avoid.

Convenient

It was very convenient because it was on the beach and we could watch the children from the back porch, we were also able to call someone on Saturday evening when we had an issue with the lock and they were there in less than 10 minutes to help out. It was a very clean with easy check- in/ check-out instructions.

Happy West (May)

The location of happy West is amazing! We loved being ocean front. We were able to ride our bikes and enjoy the location to its fullest.

We had a blast but the house is run down

The location is fantastic. It’s on a nice wide stretch of beach and the view from the covered porch is excellent! However. It needs some serious love and soon. Things we noted: large stains on the carpet; shower door track was rusty and doors wouldn’t slide; broken window that has been broken for some time based on the rust around the frame; kitchen items were seriously lacking; blinds with broken slats or missing rods to turn the slats; living room seating was uncomfortable; the beds were terrible. Also, we had an issue with the rental agency. The confirmation email said linens for the beds and kitchen towels would be provided. There were no kitchen towels in the linen rental bag so I called and asked. I was told kitchen towels are NOT provided despite the email saying so. The representative told me she would look into it and get back with me and I never heard another thing about it. If the beds were better, we’d stay here again and just know to bring kitchen items (decent frying pan, some utensils). But the beds really were bad. I could feel the springs when I laid down and the top mattresses were so thin. Even my 11 year old complained of a backache. Holden Beach itself is lovely. Quiet and not built up at all. Now if someone would put some love into this house, it would be the perfect spot to stay!
