"Happy East" at Holden Beach - This Beachfront Duplex on the popular East End is one of the best oceanfront values the island has to offer! Rent both sides for double the fun! Enjoy fantastic views from this 3 bedroom, 2 bath oceanfront duplex located on the East End of Holden Beach. This home is convenient to restaurants, shopping, bars & water sports! Allow yourself to be mesmerized by the Atlantic Ocean from your dune front covered porch where you can almost feel the refreshing ocean spray on your face. Private beach access walkway right at your steps! Bedroom 1 features a queen bed and shares a hall bath. Bedroom 2 features a queen bed and Bedroom 3 offers 2 single twin beds, both rooms share a hall bath and are located on the 2nd level. Standard amenities include central heat & air, dishwasher, microwave, washer & dryer, ice-maker, color cable TV. Outside, you'll enjoy the convenience of parking underneath the house. Rent along with "Happy West" for a total of 6 bedrooms and 4 baths!

Storm took out sewer and water for this house. Proactive management company scrambled to find another for me.

Disappointed

Excellent location and view. Property has not been well maintained, which is a shame since it could be a very nice place. Many repairs needed, and a better quality of furniture inside and out. Just glad we had the wonderful view from the porch and the short walk to the beach and decent weather, because it would have been depressing to be in the house the whole time. Outdated appliances, window blinds broken or completely missing, broken lamp, messy unusable closet, dead and live roaches (or palaminos, or whatever), Many of the porch chairs were unusable or unstable. Same with some of kitchen chairs. We did not feel that the place itself was worth the money we paid. If the location and view had not been so great, it would have been a complete disappointment.

update

clean house, quiet house(no duplex neighbor noise). bedroom mattress need updating, as well as thin comforters. overall the house was great. proximity to beach was exactly as stated and easy to use combo for access.

Great location

We really enjoyed our stay. Only drawback was the lack of code-required egress from the master bedroom. The windows are fixed and thus it is a firetrap. Also no screens. We like to open up the house and not use the AC. We would not go there in the summer!
