Babington Ocean Front Beach Home with Pool--heated pool optional--

Babington House has been a fun and enjoyable destination for many guests for many years.
Enjoy 9 acres of privacy on Ocean Blvd West with 420 feet of stunning beach frontage in the West End gated community. This exceptional property has a large pool and decking with attractive fencing which assures total privacy. "Babington" is privately maintained and immaculately clean. All bed linens and bath towels are included throughout the year. All beds are freshly made upon your arrival so that guests can enjoy a stress-free vacation in this gorgeous home. This 5 bedroom, 4 bath home accommodates 11 guests. The first floor has 2 bedrooms with a king bed in the master bedroom and a double and twin bed in the second. The second floor has 3 bedrooms with a queen in the first, a queen in the second and a queen in the third. All upstairs bedrooms have an ocean view and an oceanfront porch with rockers. This home offers central heat and air, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer, quick-chill refrigerator, additional large ice maker, high-speed internet, smart TV's in all bedrooms, smart TV in living room area with Apple TV, DVD player and surround sound speaker, upper and lower porches, enclosed outside shower with hot and cold water, fish cleaning station with hot water, covered grilling area with seating and covered parking. The private walkway to the beach has a sun deck, stargazing deck and multiple showers. The pool is nicely furnished with chairs, lounges, tables and umbrellas.

Heated pool OPTIONAL for early spring and late fall with 48 hour notice. A separate 60 dollar daily fee will be charged.
Pool heater not available Dec through February. If you choose to purchase pool heat we will turn it on prior to your arrival with the understanding that outdoor weather conditions greatly affect the pool water temperature. Pool heaters cannot operate if the temperature outside is under 50 degrees. Please message us if you would like the pool heated

This is a NON-SMOKING home.

Bedding: K, Double, Twin, Queen, Queen & Queen

Parking Notes: Guests may park directly in front of the home. There is a covered parking area as well as parking in the driveway. NOTE: Parking on the street and/or sidewalks is strictly prohibited and may result in a violation ticket or towing.

Our pool company, 4-Season's, comes by for routine pool cleaning/maintenance on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. They are quick and you probably won’t see them.
Our linen company, Shallotte Cleaners, picks up/drops off our beach house laundry on Tuesdays & Fridays. You probably won't see them either. No one needs inside access to the house. The laundry is stored in a locked closet under the carport.

We provide only enough toilet paper, trash bags and soap to get you through the first day or two. Beach towels and beach chairs are not provided.

Our second stay at the perfect place

This well-appointed home has everything including a smashing location on a large lot, a pool and sparsely populated beach. The owners are top notch communicators and help with anything needed. We were in a bind due to storm that dropped two feet of rain and left us houseless for our vacation at our original booking in Bald Head Island. Within hours we were able to pivot and secure Babington and had a perfect rest of our vacation with friends from around the country

Spacious and relaxing Holden Beach getaway

Our family beach trip included our three adult children, their spouses, and our two granddaughters ages 1 and 2. It was very helpful to have separate bathrooms and adequate spaces (beach, pool, upstairs and downstairs decks, and lower level parking) for alone time when needed. Perks like multiple coffee pots, an ice maker, a very-well stocked kitchen, multiple hoses for spraying off, and a fish-cleaning station were all very convenient.

Always an amazing stay at Babington

We truly enjoyed our stay. You just can’t beat the privacy you get wit the Babington house. The pool is exceptional!!! Only issue we had was the downstairs master bathroom had an extra moldy shower curtain. I was very disappointed as the price paid for the week I think allowed us clean showers. Overall I’d say 8/10.

Would Return!

The Babington was the best place to escape for a week with my family of 9! The house was incredibly clean, with a very well-stocked kitchen! The ice machine was convenient added bonus. The pool and large deck were clean and a great place to end a day at the beach. The beach itself was near private thanks to the sprawling property the house is on. Even with the privacy, shops and restaurants are still less than 15 minutes away. A fantastic time was had by all, and we would definitely return to The Babington for future family vacations!

Family Week Beach

Our family has been doing a family beach week for 20 years in the southern NC beach area. We have switched up locations a few times based on our growing family needs. Babington was one of our favorites! Love the beach front location, plus pool!! Great porch to chill in the rocking chairs and watch the ocean. Some perks we enjoyed...ice maker, didn't realize how great it is to have!! Pool and Umbrellas! Outdoor shower! All beds have two pillows per sleeper ( as a pillow person, this is rare to find in a rental- pleasamt surprise). If you haven't stayed on this end of Holden, the house is less than a mile from the west/south end of the island....great for low tide!! You can walk around and explore a private island. A few of us got up to watch the sunrise, not very visible in the peak of summer, however we watched some deer frolic. Birds are very active. Saw a hawk have dinner:) Great moonrise from the end of the boardwalk! We will stay again The Babington's were great hosts!

Private Beach Oasis

Great location and the property is beautiful that feels like home. Owners are responsive to any need or questions. The beach area with the size of the property is fantastic. I highly recommend Holden Beach and this house

Very clean, very well appointed property

This was a perfect place for friends to meet from across the country and have a long week of fun and visiting. Although mother nature was less than agreeable with beach weather the house was absolutely perfect. Spotless in every way, and had every amenity one could possibly think of. Robert was above and beyond communicative and an absolute five star host. We cooked every meal ant the house and utilized the local fish markets and grocery stores. my experience in the past is that we always have to bring extra things. This house had absolutely everything and more and everything was completely clean, functional and usable.

Excellent vacation at Babington House

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pool and steps from the beach were highlights for my grandchildren. We loved not being right next to a bunch of houses and really enjoyed the quietness. Great Property

The property is fantastic! The location is great in the gated community. We cooked several times and found absolutely everything we needed. The fish cleaning/grilling area is really nice. The pool area is beautiful. The owner is great to communicate with, but we had absolutely no issues at all. The privacy of this house and the beach area will make it hard to vacation anywhere else again! Thanks Robert! looking forward to coming back soon.

Beautiful family vacation !

Love this property and home; the house is immaculate, the pool is large and beautifully maintained and the large property gives you much privacy! We have stayed here several times and hope we can continue to have our family beach vacation here.

Vacation at Babbington House

Everything was wonderful at the Babbington House. Communication with Mr. Babbington was great - instructions for the house were clear. We all enjoyed the comfort of the home - the bedrooms and baths were just right our family of 10. Kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, silverware - everything. Only suggestion would be to have more dishtowels. Pool was well maintained - as was all of the beautiful landscaping around the house. The walkway to the beach was really nice and eliminated a lot of walking on sand to get there! All amenities were thought of - and everyone in the family enjoyed our stay at the Babbington House!! Thank you Robert.

WOW! GREAT HOUSE

GREAT house and GREAT owners. This house is WONDERFUL and VERY, VERY CLEAN. Will stay again and again. Robert was so helpful. This house is fully stocked - anything and everything you need. Loved the pool and the clothes line. Beautiful and QUIET location.

Best House on Holden Beach

Our family loved this house and had a wonderful week here. The house was spotlessly clean and had everything we could possibly need. The property is absolutely beautiful, and the children loved watching the birds nesting in the birdhouses. We had six adults and three children (aged 2, 3, and 5), and had more than enough room. The property had plenty of gates to keep the children safely away from the pool and the beach. We hope to stay here again next year!
