Close to mountains and trails as well as Stowe 4 bedrooms 2 1/2/ baths, indoor sauna , 6 person hot tub, 3TV'S including a 65 "TV with surround sound, wireless internet , includes linens , pots , pans -just show up and ski!!, bedrooms consist of 1 king upstairs with private bath , 2 queens with a private bath , king on main floor with an adjacent bath and 3 beds down stairs , washer /dryer, 2 car garage

The house was great. Sufficient parking, Quiet area. Kitchen well stocked with utensils, spices and cleaning supplies. Bathrooms also well stocked with toilet paper, soap, and shampoo. Plenty of towels and bedding. Sheets were nice. Easy assessable instructions for hot tub, sauna, etc. Host, Mark, was very responsive to questions. Location was convenient to Stowe festivities.

Lovely retreat, very quiet, beautiful natural surroundings. The house is very comfortable with a great layout for all guests. The host is very communicative and helpful. I would return to this location.

Great stay for a family with pets! Close to plenty of entertainment in Stowe, and plenty of space both inside and in the yard. Some of the neighbors were a bit noisy, but that was really only a problem when walking the dogs; we couldn’t hear any of their music indoors.

4th of July in Stowe

We had an amazing stay at Mark’s house! Plenty of space for two families for the weekend which included 5 adults and 4 kids. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. The location is prime - easy drive to restaurants/shops or to the mountain. The house is in a quiet neighborhood which was a bonus. We would definitely come back!

Great location

This is a great location close to the mountain that made it a quick 10-15 minute drive in the morning on a busy ski weekend. Skipped right over the traffic we typically hit when we stay just a mile or two closer to town. The house is well stocked with plenty of linens and some of the things that other rentals don't have such as spices in the kitchen, paper towels, and dishwasher detergent. The bedding was even newer than what is shown in the pictures, and Mark was very responsive before and during the stay to any questions we had. Previous reviews mentioned chipmunks, which I can happily say has been completely resolved. Previous reviews also mentioned other things that were broken or non-functional and this was not our experience - those were all resolved as well. It's not a brand new house and sure could use some upgrades, but for the size, location, and price it was great.

Great Location needs some attention

After three stays in February 2023,2024 and 2025, it's time for us to wave good-bye!! The location is amazing, but the interior of the home is not aging gracefully, displaying its decline. We appreciate the fact the house functions as a rental, but the renter should expect that the house is functional upon arrival. A bathroom towel rack in the 2nd floor bathroom was on the floor rather than on the wall. A shade in the master bedroom was pulled down to the max, not permitting the shade to properly re-coil. No apparent heat in the 2nd floor bathroom, average temp 55 degrees. (apparent during this visit). A lack of paper products, (toilet paper, paper towels, and tissues).I would also recommend pump hand-soap in the bathrooms, the small bars of hand soap are ineffective and messy. Be sure to have a hotspot on your phone as Wi-Fi is non-existent! We also encountered chipmunks in and on the premises. (this was addressed by the homeowner, promptly) but it was very unsettling. Our dogs are very protective and were extremely persistent assessing the chipmunk's locations Eventually three chipmunks were eliminated during the last two days of our stay. A little too close to nature!!!

Mountain Getaway

Everything about the place was excellent and matched the listing. Well stocked kitchen pots, pans, and utensils was a plus. Only minor inconvenience was figuring out the Sauna. We needed to put down towels and cover cracks letting in cold air so it would properly heat up. Once we figured it out, it was great. I would stay here again.

A weekend stay

The property has excellent location in regards to ski slopes and town. The rooms/house is compact, but it was sufficient space. The beds were okay, and everything was clean. The kitchen had updated appliances and sufficient tools for cooking. And even spices and other cooking supplies. Wood for the fireplace, which was great. The host contacted me in advance with a plumbing issue, and kindly with some skiing suggestions to avoid the crowds. However, the house is well used, and could certainly use updates. Most particularly it needs better and thicker blankets for the beds. Additionally, and this doesn’t really affect the stay, but many of the doors do not close correctly (like bathroom doors not staying closed) and the old carpeting is all wrinkled and clearly needs to be redone. It is very much a ski bunk house. So it worked for us for the weekend, but needs a little love.

Perfect location for skiing!

This house was perfect for our family of 4 & 2 small dogs. We loved the private location, sauna & hot tub (although we didn’t use hot tub for more than a few mins due to outside temps being in the single digits). One upstairs shower was unusable during our stay but the owner was having it fixed that same week. We had some complications with the furnace as we accidentally hit a main safety off switch in the basement stairway but the owner was great with helping us fix the issue. We loved the fireplace and kitchen/dining & living area - very comfortable! We were only a 5 min drive to the ski resort and 5 min drive from downtown.

Perfect ski weekend in Stowe

This house is in a great location, less than 10 minutes from Stowe. The house layout is perfect for two families to share. Plenty of bedrooms, plenty of privacy for both our older teens and the adults, two living rooms, sauna, and a hot tub. Not to mention the owner left plenty of firewood to have a cozy fire in the living room at night. The kitchen was well equipped with anything that we would need and the owner was easy to communicate with. We wouldn’t hesitate to rent again! Thanks for a great stay.

Nice place to gather

I hosted friends for a small birthday gathering at the house, and it was lovely to have all the amenities and be so close to the winter New England charm of Stowe. There were a few things to prep the house that would've been nice- more paper towels, snow removal, etc. but overall we had a nice time.
