  • Este es un refugio aislado en la ladera de la montaña. Perfecto para una escapada para dos y espacio suficiente para 5, se encuentra en nueve acres privados que se encuentran justo encima del río Blanco. Está a solo minutos de Killington, Okemo, Sugarbush y Pico. Con Killington a solo 14 millas de distancia ... ¡es una delicia para los esquiadores! Es perfecto para quedarse para asistir a la Copa Mundial Femenina en Killington que se celebra el fin de semana del 23 de noviembre. El chalet da a las montañas verdes con un arroyo cerca. Las vistas de otoño son bastante increíbles.
     Estamos a poca distancia del río Blanco. El senderismo es abundante y excelentes lugares para sacar a los perros de la correa.

    El Chalet ofrece una cocina personalizada totalmente equipada, una estufa VT Castings a gas, 1 baño completo, TV de pantalla plana vía satélite en la sala de estar y 2 áreas para dormir: 1 habitación con una cama matrimonial y un altillo privado con un cama king size, además del sofá de dos plazas en la sala de estar que se extiende a una cama doble.
    En el Chalet hay trineos para las dos grandes carreras de trineo. Los zapatos de nieve están disponibles también. Salta sobre tus motos de nieve desde el camino de entrada y sal a dar un paseo por los pintorescos senderos de montaña. Si eres un amante del esquí de fondo, disfrutarás de los senderos cercanos.
    Como se mencionó anteriormente, esta área es impresionante en invierno, la primavera, el verano y el otoño capturarán un lugar en su corazón. El murmullo del arroyo que atraviesa la propiedad trae música hermosa al abundante y exuberante dosel verde de esta parte de las Montañas Verdes. Nadar, pescar, hacer tubing y caminar a lo largo del río Blanco están a solo un paso de la puerta principal. Hay un hermoso estanque justo afuera de tu terraza delantera.

    Hay muchas maravillas naturales cercanas que solo hay que ver. Quechee Gorge, Texas Falls y Moss Glen Falls se encuentran entre algunos de nuestros favoritos. Las pintorescas ciudades de Woodstock, Quechee, Randolph, Barnard y Rochester de Nueva Inglaterra son una visita obligada para ir de compras, antigüedades y restaurantes. En las cercanías también se encuentra el outlet de queso Vermont Cabot y Ben & Jerry's.

    Si eres una persona activa que quiere celebrar el aire libre, una persona que busca la soledad que solo quiere calentarse junto a un fuego acogedor, encontrarás esta joya de la montaña rejuvenecedora

Beautiful, woodsy setting for an artsy chalet. The climb to the bedroom and loft is a bit steep for anyone with mobility issues, but the place is so peaceful and quaint. Super clean and welcoming!

Ski getaway

Perfect secluded cabin, with a great story. Pictures don’t do it justice. We’ll be back for our next ski trip!

What goes around comes back around

Very private and secluded chalet. Has its own driveway so it is like your own individual cabin in the woods. Come and go as you like without worry of interrupting anyone. Close to town and fishing and hiking. Very comfortable. Loved it. Had an opportunity to speak with the original builder/ owner about the history.

Perfect accommodation for our family

We loved staying here. The home was well appointed and was comfortable for our family of 4 and our dog. I enjoyed the peaceful walks every morning with our dog and my daughter and i had a great visit up the hill to meet Janie (owner) and her pup. We are looking forward to a return visit. Proximity to Killington was great as well as a couple great restaurants that we tried in the area (20 minutes away in Rochester and Royalton).

The first night was great the next day until we left horrible!!! We woke up to flying ants all over the bedroom window (covered completely) on the walls in the bedroom, downstairs on the window in the tv room covered. We went and got bug -ant spray worked for a bit but came back! Owner of the property called exterminator said would be out that day however we travelled with our small dog so we had to take him with us which left us trapped in the car for the day we couldn’t do anything we had planned. That night again flying bugs -exterminator did drains which brought up baby ants into the tub disgusting!! Unfortunately I couldn’t find any other place available or we would have left! So the next day we took the dog and just basically drove around another day we couldn’t go and do anything with having the dog in the car!! Went back close to dark and again the bugs were back owner said that if we were to leave she would reimburse us for the night how nice! I feel that she should have found a place for us to go for the last 2 nights out of the 3 that we booked and paid for it. It ended up being a terrible stay that we had saved up for awhile- such a total waste of money that we work hard for!

Stay at Stockbridge Cottage

The place was very cute. Janie was very friendly. We enjoyed meeting her and her dogs. She had some great recommendations on places to visit! Our kids shared the loft bed, and my husband and I shared the bedroom. My only recommendation is that the online listing is updated. There were some discrepencies with bed layout and check out time given in the check in email was 12. In the cottage it was listed as 10 and another place online was 11. 11 was the correct tjme. We appreciate Janie's hospitality and would stay again.

This was a perfect cozy Vermont cabin! Location was great. Loved that it was dog friendly, our girls had the best time! Would definitely recommend, very clean and kitchen was fully stocked! Thanks for a lovely stay Janie! :)

Excellent experience/stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Janie was super friendly and easy to reach. She was super welcoming to our dog which made our stay that much better. Everything was clean and the area is beautiful! We’d definitely like to visit again.

A muddy mess, but still a good vacation

Let me start with the positives… the owner was very responsive via email with directions and check in process. The house was really clean on arrival. And sitting in the afternoon sun, out on the back deck with a glass of wine and the sound of the stream below was really relaxing and enjoyable. However, getting there was an adventure as the driveway was a muddy mess. I know the owner’s have no control over the weather and she alerted me to the fact on our way there but I wasn’t sure our big 4wheel drive was going to make it. It was challenging to say the least. Not to mention, there was no place to walk the dog without going thru the mud. The house is tiny and I think would really be a stretch for 4 people. Also the owner’s log cabin is only about 50 yards away so not quite the solitude I had expected. No Verizon cell service and the Wi-Fi didn’t work for the first 2 nights we were there. I never called the owner on that because it didn’t really matter to us. I had a book and the backgammon board with us. It did unexpectedly show up on our last night. Lastly, the house is cute but there is a lot of stuff. Everywhere. Maybe a little less stuff would have helped in figuring out where to put my suitcase and my stuff. With that said, it was still a nice vacation and who doesn’t have a good time in Vermont!?

Gorgeous Property with Great Host

The chalet is clean and so cozy! It's in a gorgeous location where it's easy to just relax but still about 15-30 minutes from Killington and plenty of activities. The chalet worked great for my husband and I and I would highly recommend it as a couple's getaway but I could see how it might be tight for more people - specifically multiple couples. The host was also wonderful - quick to answer messages and honestly a delight to get to know!

Janie is a wonderful woman with a huge heart , and the most interesting story about her homes history. Her dog Zoe is friendly and welcoming as well .The chalet is cozy and you feel the love. Absolutely recommend !!!! you won’t be disappointed Dan and Lisa

Perfect weekend getaway

My fiancé and I brought our 3 year old German Shepherd here and stayed for the weekend, we had such a great time! Janie and Zoe were so welcoming and our dog had a blast swimming and playing with Zoe. The location is perfect for relaxing, off-leash fun. The chalet is clean and cozy, and the scenery is like no other. Definitely recommend for couples, friends, and families. We hope to be back soon!
