"This was a great place to stay in Lake Placid that was in the ideal location--away from the business of the downtown area, but close enough to walk to the downtown area, and it is a scenic walk around the lake. Staying here gives you the feel of staying in a mountain lodge. There was plenty of room for 5 people, and the house was well-attended with all the amenities we needed. "This is a wonderful place with a gracious host. The large stone fireplace was appreciated on a couple of cold evenings. The sun porch with storm windows was one of our favorite places to read, chat, play games, and view the ever changing lake, sky, and trees. "The hot tub was enjoyed by all. Also the fireplace was wonderful, too. The house itself was very nice. The rooms had the Adirondack camp feel. We played Corn hole and spent time on the deck down by the water. We had an eagle fly over while we were outside. We would definitely rent it again if we are in the area.
