Scandinavian Lodge is a tranquil Steamboat vacation rental location, nestled in the woods, mid-mountain at Steamboat Resort. This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo overlooks Routt National Forest and is ideally situated a mere 100 yards away from Thunderhead lift. Skip the gondola line and enjoy the quickest access to the slopes, immediate access to hiking and biking trails, and a short drive to the ski area base.
The Scandinavian Lodge is family-oriented setting and boasts a heated outdoor pool (kept at 90 degrees) with indoor entry, 8-person hot tub, sauna, community BBQ grill, indoor ski lockers and relaxing evenings in the woods.

Scandinavian Lodge 106 has been completely remodeled from wall to wall and is one of the more modern units you will find. It was impeccably designed and offers fantastic fixtures, furnishings and furniture. Enter the condo into the spacious, immaculate open living area. The spectacular kitchen highlights include gorgeous granite counters, Bosch stainless steel appliances and magnificent wood cabinetry. It is fully equipped with everything you will need to stay in and cook a meal. Right off the kitchen is the equally gorgeous granite dining table, which offers seating for 6 and makes a great workspace. Combined with high speed Xfinity broadband WiFi, this makes Scandinavian Lodge 106 perfect for your remote working needs.

When it is time to relax, you will love kicking back on the large sectional (also pulls out to a queen sleeper) and watch the big flat screen TV. Or just warm up by the alluring and stunning stone gas fireplace and take in the beautiful vistas. Access one of the patios, and enjoy your beverage of choice in the serene surroundings, only steps from the National Forrest.

Off the living area is a small hallway with the master en suite, bunk room and another full bathroom, all superbly remodeled.

The master en suite features a king bed, flat screen TV, full bathroom with a walk in shower.

The bunk room offers a full bunk bed and twin sleeper sofa, a flat screen TV and access to another patio, steps to the forest.

There is another full bathroom with a double vanity and tub/shower combo in the hallway.

A true woods location yet so close to the summer and winter recreation, along with updated interiors makes Scandinavian Lodge 106 the perfect mountain escape.

Most mountain residences, including this property, do not have air conditioning. Fans are provided for your comfort.

Originally started as a summer resort destination, Steamboat has become renowned for its world-class skiing and mountain biking options. And your Steamboat vacation rental will put your family in the middle of it all.

Winter activities include skiing, snowmobiling, snowboarding, biking, sledding and fishing. The city houses two ski areas – Steamboat and Howelsen Hill, Colorado's oldest continuously operated ski area. Or simply play in the smooth, dry snow, referred to as Champagne Powder, for which Steamboat is known.

Mountain biking is huge in Steamboat. Known as Bike Town USA, the city has trails for all ages and skill levels. Hundreds of miles of single track, as well as over 50 miles of downhill and freeride terrain.

Tried for Spring Break with Family

I would recommend Googling the property management company and making sure you are comfortable with their rental agreements before renting. We arrived to a condo that had not been cleaned very thoroughly. We contacted management who said they would send someone to come over and clean. No one showed up so we decided to find alternate lodging. Aside from the property management experience this condo would have been okay if properly cleaned. The carpets are very worn through but everything else was decent.

Not Ski in Ski out

The property was clean and adequately stocked. The communication was good for the check in procedures. The property is advertised as ski in ski out. That is not accurate. You have to walk up a road that's a fairly long walk to get to the ski lift and it's the same coming home, unless you take a path that goes thru a private property.

Great Place - we will be back

We really enjoyed this property for our family of four. The kids loved the spacious bunk beds and watching TV in their room at night. King bed in adult room was comfortable and spacious. Great having our own bathroom too. Kitchen is fully equipped with all you would need. Really easy walk to Thunderhead lift for ski access.

Nice condo within short walk to Thunderhead lift

Very nice condo that was recently updated. Well provisioned with everything you need and a short 3-5 minute walk to the Thunderhead lift. Only downside is its a first floor unit and you can hear everything going on above but to be expected in an older condo building like this.

Walk to Thunderhead!

It’s as close to ski-in, ski-out as it gets! The location was amazing – just a short walk up the road to the Thunderhead lift avoiding the crowds at the base. Scandinavian Lodge was very quiet and well-maintained, nestled among private homes near the end of Burgess Creek Road. The parking lot was pretty crowded, partly due to all the snow (great!), but also due to inconsiderate parking taking up multiple spots – looking at you, Tesla. The unit was clean and recently remodeled with decent appliances, fast Wi-Fi, a large sectional, and flat-screen TVs in the main room and bedrooms. The beds were super comfortable and having two full bathrooms was a bonus, although a note of caution about the tub, which was very slippery to the point that it was difficult to shower. It was a great space for our weekend getaway with a crew of three but might have felt cramped maxing out the seven sleeping spots for a longer stay. We ate out and didn’t really use the kitchen except for breakfast; it seemed well-stocked. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool, which got a lot of use after skiing. The management company (iTrip Vacations) was very attentive and checked in with us both on arrival and departure to make sure we had everything we needed. Recommended.

Great location and service

Easy walk to and from the Thunderhead lift (a few minutes); totally updated; huge tv; Itrip shuttle-on-demand service was great for going to town; management was very responsive and helpful. We could hear the guests upstairs (walking around, etc.), but that's to be expected in most units if not on the top floor. The building needs to add at least one more hot tub. But overall very nice and we'd stay there again.

The property was newly renovated and well-kept. We appreciated how well stocked it was, no grocery runs for garbage bags and paper towels. Also the pictures do not appear like there is a view of anything but the parking lot, but there was a lovely view from one balcony. The master bed was so comfortable and the second BR was perfect for our 2 teen boys.
