Summary:
Cute Historic 3 Bedroom 2 Full Bath Home located in Downtown St. Charles, Missouri. Fully stocked home from the kitchen to the bedrooms, ensures a cozy stay every day.

You can relax on the front porch swing or cozy coach in the living room.

Play bags or washers in the private back yard or ping pong, air hockey or foosball in the game room.

Try out the new hot tub!

Cook Thanksgiving dinner and serve the dining room!

Short walk to downtown St. Charles.

The Space:
One bedroom located on the main level with two additional bedrooms located upstairs.

2 Full Bathrooms - One on the main level and the second on the 2nd floor. Pictures coming soon.... Bathroom addition will be completed on March 1st, 2024.

The game room is located in the Lower Level.

Kitchen is stocked with all of the items needed to cook up whatever your heart desires.

Guest Access:
This house comfortably sleeps 7 plus 2 on the pull-out couch but can rented with the property next door for a total of 16 if needed. Please check our other listings for "Blair's 1879 Historic House 4Bed 2Bath - Sleeps 8"

Availability is not always guaranteed, so please book in advance.

The Neighborhood:
Founded in 1769 as Les Petites Cotes ("The Little Hills") by French Canadian fur trader Louis Blanchette. The Spanish government controlled the Mississippi Valley between 1762-1800, and for a dozen years "The Little Hills" became "San Carlos Borromeo." In 1804, on the banks of the mighty Missouri River, Lewis and Clark met here to begin their westward expedition. Shortly thereafter, the city became known as "Saint Charles."

Other Things to Note:
Due to the age of construction of this home, a few things to note for those with ambulatory issues; parking is on the street, there are some stairs that lead up from the street to the house, and the set of stairs leading up to the bedrooms is steeper than modern day built homes.

Interaction with Guests:
Blair and Matt work extremely hard to make sure you have a FIVE-star experience at all of our properties. If there is ever anything you need during your stay, please don't hesitate to ask.

We had an amazing time at this fantastic home. It's a beautiful house in a safe, historic neighborhood. Every amenity you might need is provided. Our hosts went over and above to make sure our stay was carefree and enjoyable. The location, near the historic shops and restaurants, was perfect. Also conveniently located to all the attractions of St. Louis. On our next trip to the area, we will definitely be returning here!

We were in town for a baseball tournament. This location was perfect. After being at the fields most of the day, our boys came back and had additional fun playing ping pong in the game room. We absolutely loved the historic neighborhood, which was also a short walk to cafes, stores, restaurants, etc. Communication with the owners was fantastic. No issues checking in. The place was clean and stocked. Would definitely rent again if back in the area.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home. Communication with the owner was great. The hot tub was wonderful after a long day of exploring the city. The kitchen was well stocked with almost everything you could need. The owner's also provided wonderfully loud fans in each bedroom. If we ever return to the area, we will happily stay at any of these owner's properties.

Everything you could want is within 20-25 min of this house. Quiet area, house has everything you need!! Couple things that took sometime to get use to was the planes (few miles from airport) and the church bells going every hour. But other then that it was perfect!!!! Would stay again for sure.

My daughter and I traveled to the Saint Charles area with friends for a cheerleading competition. We decided to forego the typical hotel accommodations in favor of a VRBO property where the girls could stay together. This house was less than 10 minutes from our competition venue. It was also a short drive to several nice restaurants and some cute shops. Communication with the owners was excellent. The house was extremely clean, charming and equipped with everything we needed including plenty of towels and even a few arrival snacks. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a long day. The neighborhood is extremely quiet. This is a historical home/neighborhood so there is no traditional driveway. We opted to park on the street and walk up the front stairs. There was a parking spot around back down an alley but we had an oversized vehicle and opted for street parking. Electrical outlets are more limited than what you may find in a modern home. Other than that, the house is nicely updated and was quite comfortable for our group. We enjoyed our stay.

Matt was very easy to communicate with! The house was beautiful with everything we needed. There was a nice added touch of coffee, snacks and water. More than enough towels and dishes which is always a problem we have staying at other places! Would definitely stay here again. Felt like home!

What a wonderful place! We completely enjoyed our stay. Very clean and tidy!! Well kept and plenty to entertain the young ones we had with us. Next time we need to stay in that area this will be the first place I try and book!

The house was used by 6 out of town relatives to stay. The remainder of us gathered in the morning, enjoyed being together, and went home at night. A few bumps were noticeable (garbage disposal, coffee maker,,stopped up toilet), but nothing that kept us from the having a good time. Only major concern was no grass in the backyard and it had a fence on only one side of the yard.
