  • Jarrow, a 19th century coral-stone villa, is nestled on the beautiful south coast of Half Moon Bay, St. Lawrence. Its gentle elevation allows you to sit on the sun deck and watch the fishermen go out to the sea early in the morning , and return with the day's catch -- which you can have freshly prepared in the comfort of your villa or barbecue on the large deck.
    The gingerbread-style villa boasts three double bedrooms, two large bathrooms, and spacious mirrored dressing rooms.
    From the foyer, living and dining area and well-equipped kitchen, you can enjoy the spectacular views of the sea.
    The unique beach at your doorstep. is protected by a reef which makes it excellent for swimming in the day or at night. You might be joined with friendly turtles!
    The skylights in the bedrooms and lounge enable you to view the beauty of the moonlight, and to welcome the morning sun.
    The southeast breezes of the Caribbean sea continuously waft through the villa, keeping it fresh and cool.
    There are ideal swimming and snorkeling conditions for children as the tide is always low in the bay.
    We are a 15-minutes drive from the airport, and a one minute stroll across the Beach or along the road to the St. Lawrence Gap where you find , the leading restaurants, nightclubs and Barbados entertainment.
    S upermarkets, shops, and golf course are 10 minutes away.
    Snorkeling, sailing, scuba diving windsurfing and much more are available in the bay below the Villa. Bring your cameras to capture the Geography of the area

I am always looking for a place to stay that exudes the history of it’s location and Villa Jarrow is exactly that! It’s total restoration is beautiful, it’s right on the water and it’s location is wonderful as far as doing and seeing a lot of fun things connected with the ambience of Barbados.Our host Tim was fun, very responsive prior to our arrival and to his credit this gem of a property was properly restored.

Timothy was very welcoming. The synopsis of the vrbo was a bit inaccurate. No private parking as stated. No hot tub as stated. The music was so loud but I guess we were warned about that. Being right on the water was certainly a plus. The living area was a bit small for the six of us but overall Tim’s place was an okay vrbo.

Awesome Location

We stayed at Villa Jarrow for 28 days, the location of this property is second to none. The views from sunrise to sunset are breathtaking. Very close to the Gap restaurants and nightlife as well as grocery shopping and multiple beaches. With direct access to the calm waters of the bay protected by a reef we found no need to travel far. Our host provided exceptional attention we will definitely be returning. It was the best location we have ever stayed at near the gap. Highly recommend.

Perfect introduction to Barbados

Lovely traditional beachfront house with gorgeous views, fully equipped kitchen, and three air-conditioned bedrooms. You could walk out directly into the water from the porch an additional benefit, which was not expected is the proximity to a huge number of fine restaurants with all types of cuisine.. And importantly, a car was not a problem as there was a small parking place directly across the street from the house.

Cant wait to come back

We wanted a private on the beach setting where the waves and sounds of the ocean were present and not just a high rise resort this time. That paired with the Primo restaurant next door and the views from there is just heaven. Carlisle Bay is10/15 away and I would recommend if looking for the same ocean experience.

Good Location / Beautiful Home

Our stayed at Villa Jarrow was perfect. It was exactly what we expected based on photos. The home was comfortable and we felt safe. The private beach access and the sound of the waves created a very zen and relaxing atmosphere which we so needed. Property is in a good location - access to restaurants, bars, grocery store, and main airport. Looking forward to staying again.

Great Oceanfront Villa

We needed a place for one night and this was a great last minute find ! Less than 15 minutes from the airport - the host was kind enough to arrange pick up for our group is 7 since we were coming in later in evening. Rental was better than expected - listing very accurate. Great communication - thank you for your wonderful hospitality.

Property is great! Walking distance to several bars and restaurants, beaches, and souvenir shops. Timothy is great to work with and meets you at the house to make sure you know where everything is. House was as advertised.

Location, location, location!!!! Being on the water like this was fantastic. I could have just camped on that deck. Loud music was not for one member of our family but it did not bother the others. Felt safe. Very responsive host and staff! Charming

Gap gem

Tim is an amazing host. He accommodated us in every way possible which made our stay very enjoyable. Having morning coffee on the deck overlooking the bay was our favorite part. Perfect location for walking to restaurants/stores and watching the sunsets. Make sure you get in touch with his buddy Mike who will be your personal ambassador for anything and everything!

Charming restored historic home on the ocean

This is a charming, clean comfortable home located at the entrance to St. Lawrence Gap. Although the front of the home is located on a busy street as soon as you enter and close the gate the view is stunning and the home is your own little oasis. And who can resist being able to walk down a small flight of stairs to dive into the ocean and snorkel, swim with turtles or just float. There are great beaches within walking distance as well. In fact mostly everything is in walking distance - dining, shopping etc. Everything you need is in the house and the back porch overlooking the ocean is where you will spend most of your time whether in the sun or shade. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here with a welcoming host and housekeeper and a view and water access hard to pass up. It’s also a central location from which to explore the island further if you have a car and only 15 minutes from the airport. It can get noisy later in the evening with music, but we got use to it quickly and it did not detract from the overall experience. Well worth a stay.

Fabulous for friends trip

We loved everything about this spot. The listing is accurate, although the pictures don't really do it justice. You will spend all your time on the back deck just enjoying the view or going out for a lovely swim. Host provides plenty of towels and the bathrooms have toiletry dispensers. If you plan to cook, fresh fish can be picked up within a stone’s throw from the house and the kitchen has all the equipment you need (but no pantry items other than salt and pepper – however there is a grocery store in walking distance). The location is also super convenient – so easy to walk to the Gap or adjoining beaches or hop on the Z bus to head to Oistens. There is no need for a car although you can have one here if you’d like. It can be a little noisy at night so that could be a problem for a light sleeper, but a couple of sets of earplugs was all that was needed for our group! Timothy was a responsive host and an all around great guy. We will definitely look to stay here again!
