"I took off 2 stars off due to there being no working smoke detectors during our stay due to some issue they were having; this was not made known at check in. Dangerous for all guest and possibly illegal."

"We stayed here for three nights. We chose this one for the pool but the pool never opened. The staff were really kind. The cleaning ladies were top tier with their customer service mainly Shawnda! She is always there and always working hard. Every time I walked passed the laundry area where they clean the sheets and things she was busy doing her work but always stopped 2help if I asked a question or needed something. Throughout the entire stay no one cleaned our rooms or asked if we needed any...

"The sheets seemed clean, the air-conditioning worked, and there wasn't any bed bugs that I found. However the mattress was stained and dirty, so was the zip up mattress cover. There were spider webs, mold, hair that was not mine, and dust. Cheap room, but not cleaned well."

"The hostel is situated in a residential area. Parking is available on a residential street. The check-in process with Travis was easy. Minor issue when showing me to my private room as someone else had the same first name and accidentally showed me to that room first. But was quickly corrected. The room itself was functional. The bed was firm. The shared bathrooms was clean, but showing its age with various broken tiles. I was only staying one night in Detroit and this is definitely an option...

"The room was clean and air-conditioning is what I needed. My power was out at home so I booked a room. Ice machine was broke, only one for 3 floors. Elevator looked like someone had kicked it in and duct taped. No air in hallways, outside yard area was weeds. Vending machine had soda, no bottled water. Bath towels are the small towels, ok for a kid but not adults. Pressed the wrong button on the tv and maintenance had to come with a different remote to restore the picture. I was thankful...

"The only thing I did not like is in the kitchen you can’t see if it’s on high medium or low. Also, the stove don’t have no degrees on it cause you turn it on you don’t know if it’s on 402 5350 so it was very hard to cook and that is the reason why I got the room"

"The room smelled like Marijuana. The floor was disgusting. The shower had no warm water. Looks like the bathroom was remodeled recently but the rest of the place looks like it hadn'tbeen touched since the early 90's"

"It is a tad older but the staff was kind, breakfast was good and located in a great place; easily accessible. Arrived on Wednesday and left on Sat morning, would have been nice to have the trash emptied or fresh towels. Would book again though."
