First day I arrived I noticed the HVAC system wasn’t keeping pace, even with how hot it was outside. I’m familiar with the 10-15 * cooler than outside temp concept too but I could tell there was something wrong with the unit. Sir enough, I discovered (family of electricians and hvac personnel) that the outside fan motor was shutting off quickly after coming on to cool. Sunshine rental (mgmt company) pushed back at first saying it was just due to extreme heat until I provided evidence the unit needed to be serviced. The communication with sunshine after the hvac tech came out and said the whole unit needed to be replaced was very poor. Tried to contact them 3 separate times, last of which was to ask for a discount since I dealt with this for 3 days, and they never responded once. The last thing you want to deal with on a hot summer beach vacation is hvac. The master bed mattress was very bad. My back was messed up after sleeping on it for a week. Sad part is that the kitchen, and both bathrooms were remodeled so that was the good part. Master shower was clogged starting on day 1, maintenance promptly fixed that. I snagged a picture of the air filter on the hvac unit which was simply disgusting. I can’t begin to estimate when it was changed last. Unit felt dusty like it had been cleaned only in visible places. I won’t stay here again and will do my best to avoid sunshine rentals.
