Beautiful Rustic Log Cabin Near Kentucky Lake

Summary:
Large Log Cabin within walking distance to the beautiful Big Sandy Basin of Kentucky Lake! This is the perfect place for the whole family. Less than a 2 minute walk to a small public access point, great for launching kayaks and throwing a line in the water. Conveniently located right across the street from Sunset Bay Marina where you can use the boat ramp to put your own boat in the water. There's lots of room next to the cabin where your kids can run around and play, and lots of stuff for the adults to do too. Enjoy our newly added game room with ping pong, basketball, foosball, and air hockey!

The Space:
This cabin is full of rustic charm. The large kitchen and open floor plan will accommodate your entire family. The open loft is a unique space the kids will enjoy. Finish of your day sitting on the full length front porch overlooking the property and enjoy seasonal views of the lake!

Guest Access:
Guests will be provided a keyless entry code prior to check in that allows a convenient self check-in and check-out.

The Neighborhood:
The location can't be beat! The property is nestled in a quiet neighborhood on the Big Sandy Basin of Kentucky Lake. You can access the lake within seconds by vehicle or enjoy a 2 minute stroll through the National Wildlife Refuge. Sunset Bay Marina is conveniently located across the street which makes launching your own boat a breeze. We are less than a 10 minutes drive to Paris Landing State Park which offers an array of amenities including public swimming pool, a sand beach, a stunning golf course and much more!

Plenty of room, beds clean, mouse droppings in kitchen drawers, lawn unkept, fire pit too close to next property, after couple hours A/C was able to cool home from 80 to 72. Games in basement even though old, kept the kids well entertained. Plenty firewood. Very good wifi. Deep cleaning, maintenance/fresh paint, pest control, and lawn care would be an excellent place.

This property was ideal for us. It was close to Paris Landing State Park and had all the amenities we needed.

Needs some cleaning

Property was nice and lots of room. Was mice poop in the beds and on the towels. Could of used a good cleaning before we arrived. Could use some updating in the bathrooms. Some of the gaming tables are broken..was not able to play due to being broken.

Everything we expected and more.

Or stay was amazing. The cabin held our whole family, grandkids and all. Pet friendly so even the grand dogs could come. Our grandsons caught several fish in the lake right by the cabin, everyone enjoyed the stay. Thank you again for the amazing stay.

Calm and a lot of space for a big family like mine

I would have liked to have more information about activities to do and places to visit with the young people, we didn’t find lufares to go swimming or walk near the cabin easily.

Nice place

We had a nice time! 2 bedrooms on main floor more beds in basement and plenty of beds upstairs. Open concept living, kitchen and dining. I really liked the big deck out front! Boat doc at the marina right around the corner.

Bring your "A" Game!

Great game room in basement!kids loved it and big shared yard with other cabins with net, horseshoes and swings! Lots of stairs, per photo, pretty steep so keep that in mind; but bedding is great and its a huge space! The lake access was disappointing, would be great if you could add a dock for fishing but we had a wonderful time! Kids already want to return and stay longer!

Awesome cabin, beautiful property, but..

The cabin was so pretty and rusty with plenty of space. The property itself was beautiful and so peaceful. My only complaint is the listing said 3 minute walk to small public beach. Maybe we have different definitions of public beach but this was not mine. It was just a small opening in the woods, the width of a car, leading to the water. Luckily, Paris landing park was a 10 minute drive to an actual public beach area. But I was pretty disappointed that the 3 minute walk wasn't actually to a public beach. That was my main reason I booked this cabin. We did still have a great time!

Needs improvements

First impression was not good. Stair way up to house stairs were not up to code. Over 26' between risers causing stairs to flex even when my 120 wife walked on them. Railing was rickety and had a 1 inch gap between the rail and the post. Back porch was about the same as the from porch. It is obvious the size of the porch had been increased and it appears as though it was build with spare wood. Standing water in the basement rec room with mold or fungus growing in it. If you are looking for a place just to lay your head it might work for you; but, I would avoid if you are planning on spending more than half of your time there. One more thing bring shoes or sandes for outside we picked prickers our feet after walking through the grass.

Great cabin, relaxing atmosphere

A very spacious rustic house with a few updates since new ownership. Game room in the garage was a big hit in our family! Kitchen was well stocked, grill was convenient. A shared (with other small cabins) area outside is great to spend time with kids - swings, badminton, kick the ball etc. We rented kayaks at the nearby marina. Owners were quick to respond. Great, relaxing, quiet experience!
