  • The James River Cabin is your four-season vacation destination. This secluded cabin is nestled amongst the trees on 95 acres located on the upper James River, just 10 short miles from the bustling city of Springfield, Missouri, and less than an hour from the popular tourist destination of Branson, Missouri. On-site activities are numerous and include bicycling, trail hiking, utv trail riding, kayaking, fishing, arrowhead hunting, hot tubbing, and swimming in your own personal paradise.

    James River Cabin offers a secluded escape from every day stresses while still providing all of the luxuries and comforts of home. This uniquely rustic yet child-friendly cabin provides all of the amenities that you could ask for, including a fully stocked kitchen, sleeping accommodations for 6 adults, two full bathrooms, king bed in master bedroom, queen sleeper sofa in living room, twin bunk beds, washer and dryer, wood burning fire place, outdoor fire pit and dining, three furnished outdoor living areas, HOT TUB, outdoor shower and satellite and roku TV. Additionally, the cabin provides tasteful and comfortable linens and décor that will be sure to please even the most particular of guests.

    This river front property also provides utv and kayaks/paddleboards. The river access is a short two-minute utv drive from the cabin, and kayaks are ready to launch at the picnic overlook area. The UTV is included in the price of the rental. A map to the river and trails is provided in the cabin for reference. Grubhub and Uber Eats deliver to the cabin if you don’t feel like cooking! The cell service is not great but Fiber internet is installed.

    Our serene property has brought us so much joy and we are so excited to share it with others.

This cabin exceeded expectations! It is clean and well-equipped for many activities, both inside and outside. We drove all the UTV trails, soaked in the hot tub, bird watched, played some family games (indoors and outdoors), kayaked and skipped rocks on the river! The host was very responsive and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Highly recommend!

This cabin was absolutely amazing. Quiet and peaceful, we stayed with our best friends from out of state and we never left the cabin because it was that great. Would recommend 12/10.

Beautiful cabin and property. Luxurious cabin while also being on the river, you’re able to take the side by side down and swim! We enjoyed the hot tub, covered deck and fire pit as well. Would absolutely stay here again. You can tell the owners take a lot of pride in this rental.

The house was exceptionally clean, I walked barefoot and I absolutely never do that! Contact with the host was quick if I had issues. The kitchen had a lot of extras in case we forgot, and we did! The wildlife was everywhere and so fun to watch. The hot tub was awesome at the end of a long day in a work trip as was the use of the utv. There were tubes, canoes, kayaks, and the list goes on…all available at no extra charge! The upper deck was peaceful for star gazing, the back patio has it all-bbq grill, tv, cozy throw, table, even a heavy duty fan…oh and outdoor shower! The trails were so fun to explore and we looked for fun rocks at the river rock beach. I recommend water shoes as it must be spring fed and is so clear u can spend hours walking and finding rocks, crawdads, tadpoles, snails, arrowheads. We brought our own fishing gear and I caught the worlds smallest fish! But I’m not too good at it honestly, just go cuz u will love it and it reminded me of home on the farm we will return but next time for play not work!

Best VRBO yet—comfy beds, dreamy décor, kitchen stocked better than mine. Rain on the back porch bliss, hot tub under string lights magic. UTV trails & gravel bar/river bonus fun. Secluded yet not too far from town. 10/10 would move in permanently!

Ahhhh-mazing!

It's hard to find the right words to describe how amazing our stay was! We loved every minute of it! By far the best VRBO we've ever had. The river, wildlife and the cabin itself was the perfect setting for our family getaway.

Great getaway!

Very nice, cozy cabin! Quiet and peaceful! Excellent, relaxing trip for my wife and me. Definitely recommend for anyone wanting a peaceful retreat. The property is also setup great for kids too, so don’t be afraid to bring them along!

We loved our stay at the James River Cabin. We loved how modern and rustic the cabin was. Everything was very clean, and we loved how homey it was. The host definitely puts in time and effort to make your stay enjoyable. We will definitely be back!

Amazing Stay

A beautiful house and property! Everything was clean and there were so many thoughtful touches. You can really see how much they care. Communication was easy when we needed something and we really appreciated the float trip tips! Easy drive to Branson and Springfield while still being able to enjoy nature. Definitely somewhere we would return to and recommend!

A perfect place to stay.

The cabin is amazing and Rachel is a great hostess. The bed was comfortable, shower and tub were awesome, UTV trails to river were neat, and hot tub was nice after a long day of having fun. We hope to go back with our kids in the future!

Fall Family Getaway

Our family of four enjoyed every moment of our stay! It was so nice to connect with one another in the gorgeous cabin and land! We drove the ATV, roasted marshmallows around the fire, listened to music in the hot tub, went fishing, played catch in the field, and lounged in the hammock. What a fun, relaxing escape in this gorgeous property!

Beautiful peaceful remote and fully loaded for activities. Only reason you’ll need to leave is to buy groceries and even then you can still have those delivered.

This cabin will not disappoint! The host, the cabin, the amenities all perfect! The views are gorgeous. Great attention to detail for the guests. We plan to book again soon!!!
