"Very basic but even for the price the rooms were dusty. Cobwebs hanging off the walls. We had two nights due to a local wedding. Asked to move rooms because the mattress was terrible. Was told all the mattresses are the same and getting upgraded in the winter. Changed rooms, slightly better mattress. Even for a cheap night I'd expect no cobwebs / dust and a decent mattress. Won't go again."

"Beautiful decor in the lounge and dining room. Bedroom was lovely, clean and spacious.
The down side was on arrival I checked in and was told to the pay for parking at a machine. I was there for 2 days and I was charged £30. I spoke to the receptionist and she said I must have put in pm. 9.15 is am to me and that's what I put in. The receipt said 21.15 hours. Receptionist gave me a number to ring but it kept hanging up. Very disappointed with that part of my weekend away."

"The room had damp and wood chip wallpaper that was hanging down from the ceiling!! At a cost of £145 per night !! I would have been better camping on the stray
We moved rooms and guess what it was just as bad .
It’s now reached the end of its life and needs a complete renovation of the hotels bedrooms or reduce the room prices to around £50 a night
Stay at your own risk I won’t be
I don’t leave reviews but I don’t want anyone else to waste there money"

"Perfect location & great staff.
We were in a first floor room which is really in need of an upgrade. Wrinkled carpet over loose & very, very creaky floorboards (making going to toilet during night a noisy affair!), tatty bed bases & filthy windows.
Have stayed here before in a much better room & in hindsight I think I should have asked to be moved this time.
Heard every movement in the corridor because of creaky floorboards & the wall between rooms obviously got no sound insulation - could...

"I booked a room specifically for the air conditioning on the two hottest nights of the week. I booked the room through Expedia and checked and double checked that the room was listed as having air conditioning. When I arrived I was told the room did not have air conditioning and none were available.
I had no other option to stay on such short notice and could not have got a refund anyway as it was booked through a third party.
This is completely unacceptable and, quite frankly, unforgivable."

"Rooms were clean, quiet and had everything you needed. This hotel is room only. You have a key for the front door to come in and out and key for your room. There is a number to contact the owners but only saw them when checking in. Rooms provide tea/coffee and bottled water. It’s a no nonsense hotel which has everything you need in your room for your stay."
