David, the owner, was charming and told us all about the history of the castle and the region. He has gone to great lengths to create a warm, cozy, authentic castle experience! After having to bring our four suitcases up two flights of stairs, our room was incredibly hot. When we opened the windows to try to cool things off, we were met by several flies and other insects.
