Two Master Family Home / Easy to Access Year-Round / Nearby Trails

Our beautifully designed and newly renovated mountain cabin is 2400+ square feet and provides all the comforts of home with the luxury and convenience of a fine quality hotel. Our spacious and peaceful cabin includes 4 bedrooms (2 master suites), 3.5 bathrooms, 2 common areas (lower & upper level), 2 decks with a hot tub and BBQs, a large fenced-in backyard, 2 car garage and fully equipped kitchen and dining room for entertaining and family enjoyment. This cabin is excellently located for direct access onto daily snowplowed roads during the winter while maintaining the privacy and beauty of mother-nature's mountain and forest scenery from every viewpoint. We have enjoyed many skiing/snowboarding trips to nearby Heavenly and Kirkwood ski-lifts, hiking and mountain biking trails directly outside our front door and boating and beach play with our children here in South Lake Tahoe. We are happy to share our little peace of heaven with you and we hope for you to continue making fond memories with your families and friends as we have.

Kitchen, Living Room & Dining Room:
The gourmet kitchen is every cook's dream: granite slab countertops, oak cabinets, 4-burner gas stove, flat-top grill (perfect for Tahoe flap jacks!), double-decker convection ovens, large refrigerator/freezer with ice maker, dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, blender, mixer, spices, oils, cutlery, pots & pans, and more! The adjoining dining nook seats 8-10 people at the table, with three additional stools at the kitchen counter.

In the Living Room, there's a magnificent marble fireplace with large leather couches, 50' HDTV and home theater system. Adjacent to the living space is our high-quality 9 ft Olhausen pool table for your personal entertainment. The wall to wall windows offer views of the surrounding forest and mountains. Enjoy the wilderness on the upper-deck with views of the woods, mountains, and plenty of opportunities to see wildlife below.

Downstairs, there is a second common living-room with a 50' HDTV & DVD player, marble fireplace, large comfy couch, two luxury bean-bags, board games and toys. The sliding glass door opens to our second deck with hot tub, BBQ, and large fenced-in backyard.

The whole home has great WiFi coverage and a speedtest rating at 315 Download / 38.6 Upload average (tested multiple nights between 6-9PM) - perfect for streaming and getting a little remote work done (ugh).

- Must be at least 25 years old to book

- Additional fees and taxes may apply

South Lake Tahoe Restrictions:

- Area rangers strictly enforce all Vacation Rental Ordinances (parking, noise violations, camping, etc). If a citation is received, the guest will be responsible for paying the citations, $1500 per incident, per half hour (if trash/waste is involved).

- To avoid citations, follow all community rules as outlined in the Welcome Email and observe quiet hours between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am. Please note that outdoor hot tub usage is restricted during quiet hours.

- Please note: You must only park in designated spaces (garage, paved driveway). Vehicles are not allowed to park on the street and will be ticketed/towed. Local police are very strict about this.

- Camping on the property is strictly prohibited.

Nice house with lots of amenities and wonderful host

This is a great house, centrally located for ski resorts. House is clean and very well maintained. The owner/ property manager sent all the inspections ahead of time so checkin and checkout was a breeze. There is ample sleeping space and plenty of utensils for a big family. It has amenities like pool table which keeps kids occupied. Overall we had a great experience as we rented it for weekend skiing.

Wonderful family trip skiing and sledding

Communication was very thorough and timely before and during our stay. The house was great for our two families that met up for skiing. The location gave us access to both Heavenly and Kirkwood so we got to try out both. And we loved soaking in the hot tub after a day of skiing/snowboarding. Thank you Walkers for opening up your home to us!

Great big house! Easy drive to casinos, beaches, stateline

Clean, beautiful house with easy access to everything. Host was helpful with suggestions. We did encounter a bat in one of the rooms upon check in but my brave female friend was able to trap it and release it back to the wild. Directions were easy to follow, pool table was perfect for my group of friend. Was. Not affected by any noises even tho houses was by the maim streets. Overall a great weekend stay with my friends, definitely recommended and will book again in the near future.

Amazing House in a Great Location

Great house in a great location! The property was very clean and well-maintained, and we enjoyed the amenities (pool table, hot tub) as well. Check-in was very easy, and was a very quick drive to Heavenly and downtown.

Pioneer Trail home

Took my family out to see the snow. Planned this in advance hoping there would be some. When we arrived house was nice and clean. There is one master bedroom upstairs (let me warn you, if your not a morning person then this is not the room for you as there are no drapes covering the window) very big with big bathroom that has a jetted bath. Rest of rooms are downstairs (one master, one reg queen with a full toilet and shower right outside the room and a kids room with two bunk beds (our kids called it the “kids room”). Also the backyard was a hit as it was huge with snow when we arrived already there. Pool table upstairs was a hit for our family the kitchen is upstairs as well. Overall we had a great experience so I would like to say thank you to the Walkers!

Great place to stay for families with little kids (<5 year olds). Clean home, nice hot tub, enough space to comfortably fit 10-12 people. Easy drive to Heavenly.

Great Stay

The cabin was as advertised. It offered plenty of space for our group, and we appreciated the pool table and separate downstairs “hang out” room for the kids. The kitchen had everything we needed including sharp knives. The owner was responsive both before and during our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would not hesitate to return.

Exceptional stay!

Our stay could not have been anymore amazing! Beautiful home with so many amenities. Kids loved the bunk beds and adults enjoyed the upstairs. It’s truly the perfect setting. Location is also prime. So close to downtown & Emerald Bay State Park. The host is very responsive. I really appreciate that we can communicate directly with the host/owner versus an agency like other rentals are now doing. It really makes the experience more personable and comforting. The information/tips our host provided exceeded expectations and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommended!!!!

Comfortable Home, convenient location

We had a great time in this comfortable home. Met all of our needs for a quick trip to the mountains. As previous renters noted, there is not air conditioning and the house is located directly on a busy road. We had expected a more private location based on the description. Overall we had a wonderful stay. Thank you.

Great Tahoe getaway

Great house and good for a family. Owner is very responsive. No air conditioning so it can get quite warm in summer. When the windows are open there’s a lot of road noise. Nice central location with easy access to activities in the south Tahoe area.

Lake Tahoe vacation

Overall it was great, but it was very warm weather during the week and the home has no air conditioning. Very warm trying to cool the house with windows open and fans. We found out that most homes do not have AC in Tahoe, including many restaurants. Most of the year it would be just fine.

Perfect getaway in Tahoe

We were there with a group of friends with young kids, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is equipped with cookware, utensils, seasoning, etc, which makes cooking for young kids easy. We were able to make some simple breakfast everyday. Grocery stores were just minutes away, and the home is located close to many restaurants. We didnt have any problem going in and out of the house, rooms were comfortable and bathrooms were clean. The only note is the temperature difference between the lower and upper ground - it gets chilly in the lower bedrooms at night, but still bearable and cozy with blankets.

High school Guys Trip

We had a great time at the house, everything was as described and we had a blast! The sleeping arrangements were great and we had access to all the activities even with all the snow. Host was great and highly recommend picking this spot!

Very clean. Detailed information about the house. Our only dissatisfaction and it’s a significant one was the heating system. It took us a couple of tries to get the downstairs above 50 degrees. Overall great ski conditions and comfortable house for the family
