"This resort has yurts and domes as well as rooms in the lodge. The yurts and domes do not have their own baths. The lodge rooms where we were did. The room had a double bed and a single. The double was quite comfortable, the single not so much. Our room was on the bottom floor. There was a restaurant attached and the option to have a package with breakfast and dinner. Though we didn't have the package we did eat a breakfast and a couple of dinners. The food was excellent. They have music...

"Couldn't be happier with the lovely camper completely equipped like we were home. Very Clean in beautiful surroundings. Of the 6 accomodations we stayed at on our trip this was our Favorite. Brian was extremely helpful and quick responding. "

"Maude’s place is a beautiful, cozy house with a lovely view. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck, watching the boats and birds. A small beach is right at the end of the driveway and a nice place for a short walk. The kitchen was well equipped. The national park is nearby and has many wonderful trails to hike. We thoroughly our stay and hope to be able to visit again soon!"

"We originally booked the cottage to do some hiking, however trails in NS were closed due to risk of wildfires, understandable. We still had an awesome time, drove the Cabot trail, went to the beach, explored the area. We will be back and will definitely stay here again. The cottage was perfect. The kitchen had all necessary tools, everything was clean, the space was cozy. "

"The dome itself was lovely and well situated on the water. The bed was uncomfortable, but the linens were clean. I was very disappointed in the facilities. I have no issues with using a pit toilet, however you must provide some running water for guests. The only way I was able to fill up water bottles was to ask the people at the lodge to go into the kitchen to fill my water bottles. I was also incredibly disgusted by the showers at Cabot Shores. "Beautiful cottage. Jay was so helpful and welcoming. Location very good, however close enough to the highway that we could hear the traffic. Overall we loved it and would go back in a heartbeat. "

"My wife and I couldn’t be happier with our stay. The staff was amazing. The food was delicious and the servings were great. The accommodations were even better than the pictures on the website. The view was absolutely stunning. I have nothing but great things to say about Cabot Shores Wilderness Resort and its staff. My wife and I can’t wait to go back again. "

"We were to be in the Green Chalet (the word chalet is quite misleading). Informed host we would be arriving late. Chalet could only be identified by the roof colour, which in the dark is not visible. A sign on the cabin would have been helpful. The breakfast (an additional charge) was watery scrambled eggs, cold pancakes, dry bread, frozen raspberries. The manager was to be in at 8:00, finally showed up at 8:25. The other staff were unable to assist with check-in. As a result, we were unable to...

"The cabin we stayed at was private with beautiful views of the ocean. We enjoyed watching the seals in the morning and evening at our own overlook with coffee or wine. The host, Ton, was friendly, welcoming and makes a great pannenkoeken for breakfast if you choose to eat at his restaurant. Overall a great start to our vacation and a good base for exploring Cape Breton. "

"Such a lovely place to stay. Very comfortable and well equipped. We spent a lot of time on the deck and loved it - a humming bird and chipmunk visited regularly and we could enjoy the heat without getting burnt. Unfortunately all the trails in Nova Scotia were closed (fire risk) but we swam a lot at Red River beach. We had a great week. "
