"We took our 18 yr old here on a trip of Virginia and NC. This house was perfectly located for the hikes and tubing activities we wanted to do. Skyline drive was cool even though it was foggy and drizzling on and off all day. Into Charlottesville one day for tubing on Rivanna river. So glad we have the washer and dryer. Super clean and had extra things like kleenex, coffe and shampoo. Really felt like home. "

"A beautiful cabin and a responsive, helpful host. One thing I do want to call out is that the listing's callout that you should have AWD/4WD is somewhat underselling the challenge of a few of the hills and turns. It's a 1.6 mile, single lane gravel road to the property, with two sharp downhill (or uphill, when leaving) turns. The quality of one of the hills in particular has a lot of deep grooves, probably from people going up it in wetter weather, that can make navigating a little challenging....

"Great location for historic sites or Shenandoah national park. Host is very responsive, great spot with plenty to keep you busy when you've finished for the day. Great set of games, pool, ping pong, puzzles, arcade games, snacks, coffee. Enjoyed the stay and will be back if we're in the area."

"Very pleasant, peaceful and just what the doctor ordered. A quiet get-away that's far enough from civilization but close enough if you want to venture out in the world. The property was very well kept. The only things that need a little tending to is the pool area seating as the the bar seats should be replaced and the grill could use a cleaning. Our host and his sidekick (Steve & Casey) were a pleasure. I would definitely return to this property"

"Property was in excellent condition and very clean.Owner did a great job of communicating how to utilize the features of the house. Very close to shopping and amenities. Will definitely stay there again. "

"The Natchez was great! Exactly as it was described online. Comfortable with all amenities. It was a great location for nearby wineries we visited over 2.5 days. Well appointed kitchen and toiletries too. Definitely will be back and would recommend to others! Cheers."

"Beautiful accommodation inside & out. The layout of the home and property was excellent and it was a great spot to bring our pups. We enjoyed nights out by the fire pit and my husband really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. I do wish the kitchen had more basic provisions such as olive oil. And it would be nice if checkout was at 11 am, which is typical at other places we've stayed. "

"The house and location were beautiful! Listening to the cows on the morning walks was just so qaint. We saw many deers! The host was very responsive and just a true pleasure to work with. She made our accommodation requests happen to make for a great trip. The lake access was great for getting on the kayaks or fishing off the pier. 10000% would recommend this location for summer vacations with family!"

"One (probably the smallest) of several lodgings on the property. Overall, a pretty cool place to stay. The whole unit has a subtle sway to rock you to sleep. Personally, I loved it. We stayed in 90 degree weather and the A/C was a LIFESAVER. My only real complaint was one of the other guests in the castle kept leaving the common kitchen a bit messy. Thinking about coming back and trying the hobbit house. We pretty much kept to ourselves, but there are plenty of common areas to hang out."

"We had three families sharing the house for a long weekend on the lake. It was a great size for our group of 11, with plenty of space for everyone. Mark (the owner) was especially responsive, providing clear check-in instructions and staying in touch throughout for any questions/issues.The house has great lake access on a quieter area of the lake with ample space for boat tie ups at the dock. We very much enjoyed our stay!"
