"This is such a magical spot !! The host was communicative and helpful and the property was cozy and well equipped. Possibly the favorite point of our trip! Plenty of room to spread out. Had to deal with a handful of flies on arrival that were stuck inside or dead but there was a lil vacuum so not a big deal. "

"We enjoyed our stay here in June 2026. The apartment was a good size and well equipped. The views were lovely and it was very quiet. A couple of days before our check in day we received a message from the host with some very helpful information about things to do and see in the area which was much appreciated. The message said that they would send us check in instructions on our arrival day but unfortunately this didn't happen which left us wondering if there was a problem with our booking, I...

"Wonderful stay! The space was spotless, modern, and incredibly comfortable. It was so peaceful and quiet — exactly what we needed to unwind at the end of each day. The host also left a helpful guidebook that walked us through how everything in the place worked, which made settling in really easy. Would highly recommend."

"Communication was excellent. Nice, quiet location. You have to fill the tub yourself on arrival which takes some time, but instructions were clear and easy. A great spot!"

"Amazing place to stay on the troll peninsula, the view and hot tub made the stay extra special. Highly recommend staying here after a long travel day to disconnect. We thought the price to value ratio was very good compared to our other stays in Iceland."

"There is a hidden cleaning fee (Expedia stated 5000 ISK but there is a sheet in person that corresponds to 100 euros or 14000 ISK) that they will charge if you don't dust the furniture, mop the floors, and strip the beds, which I thought was completely unrealistic to expect from guests.
Communication with the host cut off once we had checked in. My friend had bed bug bites that were never addressed.
The property is sufficient but the communication with the host and the expectations ruined the...

"The house was ideally located in town and well-equipped with all that we needed for our stay. While it was unclear whether the property had a hot tub as listed, my daughter enjoyed her time digging out enough snow to open the door to the balcony. Very pleased with the ease of check in, value for the money, location, and comfort of the Painter's House."
