This studio apartment is located in the heart of downtown Sitka adjacent to St Michael's Cathedral within walking distance of everything you need; restaurants, bars, shopping, harbors, grocery store, library, hiking trails and Sitka Fine Arts Campus. Across the street visit the Sitka Library or Harrigan Centennial Hall where you can watch the Russian Dancers perform during the summer months, visit the Sitka Historical Museum or attend a performance of the Summer Music Festival.

The apartment is located on the second level of a downtown commercial/residential building. The main floor has a Mexican Pizza Restaurant, a consignment store and an Art & Jewelry Gallery. On the lowest level you will find a Food Co-op and Botanical Beauty Studio. Also, on the lowest level we feature a stunning mural from a local artist. The second floor is a combination of long term residential apartments and vacation rentals. The building is locked in the evenings and accessed with a pass key. The building has an elevator for tenants and quests only and the elevator key is provided after check in.

The building has 2 entries and will be locked in the evenings. The apartment is located on the second level so stairs will be necessary to access the apartment when checking in. An elevator key is provided after check in. Guests have an access key to use when the building is locked.

The studio has captivating views of Sitka Sound Eastern Channel, surrounding mountains and the Rockwell Lighthouse.

The apartment has everything you would need to be comfortable and feel at home. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need to prepare a meal, just bring the food. We provide basic spices, coffee and tea. There is a tv with a Roku stick to add your favorite streaming app. And if you need it, wireless internet is available.

All linens and towels are provided, and a shared coin op laundry is available on the same level as the rental unit.

If it's comfort, convenience and location you are wanting for your Sitka stay, this property is for you.

Excellent in every way! Perfect location-easy walks to everything. Very convenient. Beautiful place with terrific views of the water/harbor/boats coming and going. Very comfortable, safe, friendly place and town. Laundry worked well. Food: Beak for dinner twice, Highliner for coffee, bagels, breakfast sandwiches 4 times, Wildflower Bakery. Highly recommend! Katy and Jack have a great VRBO-stay there if you are in Sitka!

We loved the view, the location and the early mornings and evenings when the town is quiet. The surrounding downtown had meals, drinks and sights within walking distance and we used the local transit bus otherwise. The apartment was clean and well-appointed for an extended stay. We'd definitely book again!!

Great location especially for fishing to be picked up. Awesome views! Right in town near everything. Market easy to walk to. Plenty of room for 2 people & perfect for eating in. Will book again & again.

Wonderfully located in the heart of Sitka!

Great location with a lovely view! Easy access to everything including an easy 1.5 mile walk from the airport. The apartment was cozy and had everything we needed including a kitchen with all the necessities. Internet was spotting most of our stay so if that’s important you might want to check with the host. We loved it and totally recommend!

Lovely apartment but no transport to/from airport

The apartment is very functional with a wonderful view of Sitka Sound. Easy walk to restaurants, shops and local attractions. However, cabs and shuttles are full of cruise ship passengers, so there were none available to/from the airport. Kind local citizens gave us rides. Otherwise we were advised to walk.

Great location

We were able to walk everywhere and we had a great view of the water! Bed was comfortable, kitchen well-stocked (although we didn't have reason to use anything) and there was a coin-operated washer/dryer down the hall (we did use that).

Location Location Location

This little place is the perfect place to stay in Sitka! You are right downtown and can walk to anything you want to do. The views out the living room window NEVER get old! There are boats and wildlife constantly going by. We saw 10 eagles fighting over a fish and honestly, it’s an Alaskan memory for the books. Right outside the window! Actually, we ended up walking over there to get pics because it was so incredible! We cooked our own food and the kitchen had everything we needed. Everything was clean and comfortable. Loved it! Would highly recommend!

Everything we needed!

Sitka is an Alaskan paradise

We had a wonderful stay in Sitka. The VRBO is central to downtown Sitka. It was so fun to be able to walk everywhere. The view from the apartment is breathtaking. It was a comfortable and safe location.

Location, location, location!

Beautiful view overlooking the sound from large windows, short walk to everything you want to do in Sitka, immaculate, comfortable bed, very well equipped with everything in good working order, good communication with owner! Only negative was street noise at times.
