Beautiful Downstairs Studio for rent

Studio is in the downstairs of a large 7,000 sq. ft. home that sits on a private 2.5 acre lot with spectacular panoramic views of the ocean and mountains. Located in a beautiful setting, you will enjoy overlooking Sitka Sound, outlying islands and passageways. Eagles are abundant during summer months and on occasion you may spot deer roaming in our yard, or get to see whales out front.
Studio is a spacious, 1,275 sq. ft. space with a private entry. You will find a large, open floor plan with a well-equipped kitchen, full bathroom (we have a shower-no bath) and sleeping area.
For those who enjoy the outdoors we have a nice outdoor space for you to enjoy. This includes table & chairs if you want to sit out. * There is a queen, double, & sofa sleeper for beds. I’d say 3 sleep comfortably if two are doubling up on the queen bed. There is a daily fee of $25.00 for each additional guest over 2. We provide most all the comforts of home inside this cozy space. *Cleaning fee of $200.00 will be charged IF rental is left a mess.
**Please note: Since this studio is a downstairs rental you will hear noise from above as it is our living space, mostly during the day. We have dogs so you will hear them move about or occasional barking alerting us that someone is coming or going.
Although we love kids our rental is not suited for small children, older children who can follow inside rules as far as noise, breakables and such are welcome but this is not a child proof rental.
We have TV but it is not cable, we use internet TV You Tube TV which has plenty of channels to enjoy. If you have a Netflix password you can use that here as well.
* If you are an agency or employer and are renting this for someone else please provide us their full names & contact info (phone number, & address) as we will expect the guest to be who is signed up on this site. Great place to stay. Roomy and clean. If you are bothered by dog noise such as running back and forth on the floor above and barking this may not be ideal. If that doesn’t bother you then you will love staying here. We had a rental car so getting in to town was a breeze. It’s a fair walk into town but doable. The car was great for getting to some of the more remote areas of Sitka for hiking and nature.

Beautiful view, spacious, comfortable & great host!

We loved our stay in the very large Studio. It was very comfortable, has lovely views of Sitka Bay and was fully equipped with everything we needed. It was the perfect place to call home during our six days in Sitka. If I ever emailed the host with a question, I received an immediate response. I didn't have many questions because the Host has a binder with everything you need to know about the property and great recommendations for what to do and where to eat in Sitka. We hope to return next summer!

Very uneventful. The power went out, which is common in small communities of Alaska, for a short period and the owner immediately contacted me to let me know what to expect. It came back on almost as fast as it shut off and life moved on. Very enjoyable stay.

Great Spot !

My wife and I only had time to spend one night here - but would have enjoyed staying longer. Very nice, quiet location with great views. Easy to find, extremely clean and well maintained. It was perfect.

Fantastic stay and everything as advertised.

My wife and i are traveling Alaska, As we were driving to the home we thought “ how can the views be as good as they looked on the ad.” We were very happy as we arrived and we did see the fantastic views we were hoping for. Wow what a beautiful place and well managed. I would defiantly stay there again

Absolutely beautiful location, of a lovely house! The amenities and decor were really great! My husband would rate this all 5 stars. I'm a clean freak and felt that there were areas that could use improvement. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would look forward to visiting again!

Great location but overpriced for value

Despite the nice location, clean apartment, stocked kitchen, and Val's effort to allow for an early check in, I would not recommend this place. Given the high price, I would not expect there to be so much noise from upstairs. The value for the price is not good.

This extremely large studio was perfect for four adults. There was lots of room and the place was super clean. Plenty of parking by the front door and great views outside. Would definitely stay here again!

Quiet luxury with a great view.

This property is exceptionally well-appointed and clean. Great views of the water from a hillside location. Very quiet night and day. A bit of a hike from town, but taxis are plentiful and affordable.

Beautiful Sitka home setting

This is a beautiful, well maintained property that easily accommodated 4 adults. Everything was neat and clean when we arrived. It is located just on the edge of town up on a hill. Gorgeous views and easy access to food and stores. It is beautifully decorated inside.

1st trip to Alaska

We came to Sitka to visit our son who is working there for the summer. Our stay was great. We were overwhelmed with the beauty of the island. I didn’t think seeing a Bald Eagle would ever become just another bird sighting, but there are a lot of eagles in Sitka! It was nice to have a rental car as the downtown area would have been a bit of a walk. The accommodations were great. The place was clean and had everything we needed. Couldn’t quite get used to it being pretty light at 10:00 pm, and 3:30 am. We had a great stay.

A week in Sitka

This is a beautiful studio apartment. We experienced great communication and response to inquiries. We picnicked on the deck with views of Mount Edgecumbe in the distance. The open floor plan is good for families or close friends. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed for the meals we elected to cook at home. As mentioned in the description we could hear the puppies playing upstairs at times but it was not a problem for us - we all have dogs at home! We truly appreciated the hospitality!

Great Sitka views

Lovely, spacious unit. Very modern, all furniture and beds are comfortable. Views of Edgecumbe and a wonderful outdoor space. Easy to town and marinas. We will 100% consider this rental again on our next trip to Sitka.

Fantastic large studio

Impeccably clean and well stocked studio at the edge of the forest with a great view. Easily accommodates 4, could handle up to 7. You’ll want to have a car as it’s at the top of a big hill and taxi service in Sitka is hit or miss.
