Beautiful Views

We spent 7 days at Ridge-View Retreat. The house was beautiful, comfortable and clean. The back deck was perfect for quiet mornings reading and enjoying the breathtaking views of Mt.Shasta. The area is beautiful. We enjoyed Lassen National Park, Burney Falls and driving to the top of Mt. Shasta. The house was equipped with everything we needed- laundry detergent, all paper products and lots of spices for cooking. The owners thought of everything. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return. Thanks again for sharing your home with us.

Beautiful home in Shingletown

The property was spotless and has a ton of amenities. The wrap around balcony provides a fantastic view of the Mount Shasta. I highly recommend staying at this beautiful property next time you are in Shingletown. The home is located about three minutes from the little downtown where there is a nice little place to get a bite to eat and a drink in the outside beer garden with live music on weekends.

Best Vacation Ever!

This wonderful retreat was a perfect match for a perfect visit to the area around Lassen Volcanic National Park…. The property is large and spacious, well appointed and well kept. The property managers were very helpful in making sure our stay was very pleasant. And the wraparound deck is the perfect spot to star gaze in a premiere “dark sky” area.

Unbelievably Awesome House

We were in town for our daughter’s wedding. There were 3 of us staying in the house. However, we had other friends and families staying nearby. Our house by far was superior to others. It had the most beautiful back deck with a perfect view of Mount Shasta. The house itself was well stocked beyond common needs. We hired Chef David Monaghan to cook for us. I highly recommend him too. (765-960-0129) It was a perfect house and stay. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Beautifully equipped home with breathtaking views

Can I just say WOW!!! This home was immaculately clean and stocked with all the extras… simple things like Kleenex tissues in every room, pump soap at every sink, plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, laundry supplies, and everything we needed to cook meals every day. Loved that there was tons of seating outside, comfy for morning coffee on the deck or even the front porch to dinner with a spectacular view of Mount Shasta and the forest behind. Bonus was a bin for recycling! Can not say enough good things about this property… one of the best rentals we’ve ever had over the years.

A Slice of Heaven

This was hands down the best VRBO stay I have ever had! This host clearly knows what to do to make guests feel at home. I did not want to leave. Don't hesitate, book this now! The location, view, amenities, all make it the perfect place to stay!

Loved our stay

This is a beautiful house in a beautiful location. The owners have provided everything that's needed for a brief stay or for a long stay. We felt very much at home. The view from the back deck is spectacular, and there are many outdoor attractions within easy driving distance of Shingletown. Beautiful views, very nice and clean house with well provisioned kitchen and SNOW!

Wonderful!!! Really nice and comfortable house with gorgeous views of National forest. Host was very responsive and we found tons snow 20mins up the main hwy. Our top choice for a snow getaway going forward!

Post Christmas Break

This was our first trip to Lassen National Park area and this house was the perfect home base. Diana and Victor are amazing and gracious hosts. The home was impeccable and so centrally located to reach both park entrances. We also drove to Burney Falls which was well worth the hour drive. The home had everything we needed to cook our meals. There is a small market and few restaurants nearby, but we brought all our food. Taking our own food and drink to the National Park and Burney Falls was key during winter months, since there was little to no food available to sale at the parks. The views from the back deck are so pretty and we saw quite a bit of wildlife (lots of turkeys and deer). We are already planning to come back again!!

This is a wonderful place to visit. The house is lovely, everything is in excellent condition, very clean, and very comfortable. Well-stocked kitchen and bathrooms. The location is peaceful with an amazing view from the very large back deck. I hope we will return many times.

Absolute best experience

I have stayed in more than 50 rental homes in the last few years and this was the best experience ever. Incredibly clean home with everything you could want -- the PLUSH towels, the ultra-soft sheets, the high quality tissues and paper towels. Laundry soap and softener. A rack full of spices in the kitchen. Ziploc bags, aluminum foil, saran wrap. Wime glasses. Food storage containers. Ice-maker in the freezer. Propane grill and full set of grilling tools. Wood for the fire pit and fireplace. Extra blankets. Plus excellent communication, safe, quiet neighborhood. When i aked if there was a cooler in the house, the host broight one over for us to use. I would 100% recommend staying in this wonderful home!

Don't think, book. 10/10

We had a great stay in the house. Excellent location, cozy interior, a lot of space, super clean rooms and everything, fully equipped kitchen and everything ready for you to enjoy your time there. Also want to mention a comfortable bed, BBQ on the deck, stable Starlink internet connection, and fireplace in the main room and primary bedroom. Everything works and is easy to use. Just 20 minutes to Lassen Vulcano Park entrance, and 1-hour easy drive to Burney falls. Grocery store and local cafes in 5 minutes from the house. Everything was so ideally organized and described, so we even didn't have a reason to reach out to the host. One last thing to mention - views from the deck are so stunning and incredible, so you can expect they will come in your dreams.

Excellent mountain get away

We had a fantastic time, Victor and Diana’s home was warm and inviting from the moment we walked in. Very clean and an extremely well stocked kitchen and very comfortable beds. The view of Mt. Shasta from the back deck was spectacular and the fire pit a bonus outdoor experience.

Hidden Gem on Shasta Forest in Shingletown, CA

The hosts presented a wonderful resort-like home with many amenities. As the property is on a ridge, our view was unimaginable. Big deck for lounging and grilling. Comfortable furniture. Daily wildlife parades ~ Deer and twin fawns, 15 beautiful Turkeys and more. Thank you, D and V!!

Family Weekend

From the minute we drove up to the property, we were impressed. It’s in a beautiful setting, with a great view out the back. The house was super clean, and extremely well equipped. The kitchen has every kind of utensil, pot, pan, etc. to do the cooking we wanted to do. We would definitely rent this place again, and recommend it to anyone visiting the Lassen area.

Beautiful views with the modern comforts of home

Our stay at this property was nothing short of magical….from the gorgeous views of Mount Shasta every morning, to the modern comforts of home in the kitchen and living room, everything about our stay was wonderful. We visited and hiked nearby in Lassen everyday — a perfect location to head off into the park whether you are looking to check out main trails off 44, or upper northeast side near Butte Lake area. We could really tell that the owner truly cares about making sure each and every guest’s stay is enjoyable and memorable — from the modern furnishings they used to the lovely surprise s’mores kit for guests to enjoy. We hope to be back next year for some more hiking in the area at this location!
