"What a delightful place to stay! Cannot praise the staff enough! They were all so helpful, friendly and accomodating. Some English speaking staff, who were honestly the best we met in our two week stay in Japan. "Staff is super helpful. Location is fantastic. On the slope, close to the chairlift. You can get your lift ticket at the chairlift station and you can rent your skis at the hotel. Great breakfasts and dinners provided by the hotel. Unbelievable views. Not far from the shuttle bus stop. Head down to your left side and the hotel is the second one down. Highly recommended if you want a traditional japan accomodation experience. "

"The hospitality (service and meals) at Shiganoyu Hotel were amazing. While we did not speak Japanese and the staff did not speak English, they used a translation tool for conversation and didn't let that be a barrier. It was so comfortable for our family of 5 - very homey and welcoming. The tea and treat upon check-in was a nice surprise and delicious. The onsen was a relaxing bonus! "Lovely accomdation. It is a bit dated but charming and clean. Has everything we needed. Perfect for accessing the mountain. Meals were excellent. Onsen was good and open 24/7. Staff is friendly. "

"Staff was super friendly. They took us to the ski gear rental shop and back again to return the stuff. Their English was ok, enough to explain what buses to take, recommend pistes, etc. We even received a small gift when leaving. I recommend reserving the 3 meal course."
