The staff were friendly and the property quiet the first night as we were the only ones there. On the second night it was full and you hear everything and feel every slam of the door. Also the guests along with the owner were all having a laugh as something has "f***ing* broken and we had to listen to the language and the disappointment that we had booked that room and their other friends couldn't stay. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to its high rating as basics are not maintained. The whole plumbing system needs an overhaul as the toilet cistern ran most of the time. We had to wait 20 minutes for hot water the first morning and didn't have any at all the second night onwards. The heating system was sometimes hot but not on in the evening when it was cooler. Our bathroom is an outside extension so very cold and the very effective electric towel radiator is not big enough to heat it so the extractor has to stay on for hours. It all needs a good service and some TLC.

Hogwarts - Mike is a legend!

We stayed at Hogwarts before a cycling event called Chase the Sun. We couldn't have been happier, Rosie welcomed us upon arrival and showed us around. We had access to a full kitchen with a full array of snacks, tea/coffee available to us 24/7. The room we booked had ample space for our bikes and kit in the conservatory that was attached to the bedroom. The property was nice, calm and quiet; the perfect environment to prep for the 205mile bike ride that was facing us the next morning. The owner Mike was up and in the kitchen at 3.15am making breakfast for all the cycling guests, more fruit, pastries, ham, yoghurt than you could possibly imagine, he couldn't do more for us. A cyclists dream breakfast! Thank you so much I will definitely recommend to future participants of Chase the Sun South.

Most amazing stay, didn't know what to expect but it spotless. I was given a tour of the property showing where the breakfast was kept which was the most amazing amount of food for breakfast I have ever seen. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was incredibly clean. The staff were the most helpful staff I've ever had. Upon leaving one of the staff said, have you had enough to eat for breakfast? Make sure you have plenty. Best night stay ever

The description of a continental breakfast doesn't ever come close to the reality. It's the best self serve breakfast I've ever experienced. Everything from fresh fruit to juices, cereals, large selection of breads and pop tarts, too much to mention. The friendliest place I've stayed
