"The hotel was lovely and our room was excellent. We can't fault any of the staff as they were friendly and helpful. The only thing we had an issue with was the catering for the evening meals. On the 2 nights we ate in the restaurant there were several meals and additional dishes that weren't available on both nights. "One word - avoid. What ypu see in the description and in reviews is NOT what you get. The room was facing the main road and the constant, non-stop noise was unbearable. The breakfast was horrible. £12.50 extra for 1x burnt bacon, uncooked hash brown and a pathetic looking uncooked sausage. Plus a fried egg complete with a hair. "Clean room and lovely host!"

"It’s a lovely authentic pub in a small village, with a big courtyard and outdoor tables with parasols. The rooms are on the opposite side of the courtyard to the pub and are spacious and clean but very warm, even with the windows open and fans. We have stayed here 2 years running for the F1 as it’s very handy for the park and ride. I recommend staying here. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and the pub food is delicious."

"Shame we're not local or will visit Wendover again anytime soon, as we'd stay here again, no hesitation. Great location right in the middle of the town. Secure carpark. Lovely room, great size, neat, clean, can't fault it. Very helpful manager and staff. Breakfast choice was great. Bar and all grounds kept clean and tidy and the whole place had a lovely 'at home' feeling - shame we couldn't stay longer! Thanks for the hospitality - highly recommend."

"The historic building is simply beautiful, very charming, and well-restored. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was well-equipped. The service in the restaurant was very friendly but extremely slow. The food was rather mediocre. Breakfast was actually quite poor. There was barely a tablespoon of yogurt with the granola, and the toast was cold and hard like rusk. The location itself is beautiful."
