A semi-secluded, pet friendly cabin with breathtaking views of Wears Valley. You can sleep in any cabin but views like this are hard to come by! This three story cabin was updated in 2020 with all new high-end finishes and luxury amenities. Each level features a covered deck overlooking the Great Smoky Mountains.

The upper level has an open loft with king bed, en suite bath, and an additional twin sleeper sofa. The main level features a full gourmet kitchen, the great room with floor to ceiling windows, gas fireplace and new sofas. The dining area includes seating for 7 with more at the breakfast bar. On this level there is the master bedroom with king bed and en suite bath. The lower level has the third bedroom with king bed and en suite bath. This level also has the game room with pool table, arcade game, foosball, as well as a twin over full bunk with twin trundle! The covered hot tub overlooking the mountains is just off this level as well as a gas fire pit with incredible views!

We provide plush towels/make-up towels, 600 thread count white linens on king beds, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, family games and more. We provide a high chair, pack 'n' play crib, kid friendly dishes, dog crate, dog bowls and doggie clean-up baggies. We provide a starter amount of TP/paper towels which gets most guests through their stay. If you have a large party or an extended stay, you'll want to bring some back-ups. All TVs are Roku TVs or have Roku stick. Stream using your own accounts or watch one of the many free Roku channels when it's time to wind down. Rental includes complimentary access to Honeysuckle Meadows Pool & Deli (~7 miles) in beautiful Wears Valley which has both adult and kiddie pools, a fishing pond and bar and grill.

The cabin is centrally located from all major attractions including Gatlinburg (~15 mi), Pigeon Forge (7 mi), Dollywood (10.3 mi), the Ripken Experience (~8 mi), Great Smoky Mountains National Park (~7 mi) and Cade's Cove (~21 mi).

Come unwind, unplug and enjoy all the beauty this area has to offer. WiFi is complimentary in case you need to check a few emails. We look forward to hosting you.

Wonderful Cabin!

Beautiful view, everything was just as pictured. Great set up in the kitchen and very clean and beautiful cabin. The only thing we saw that could be improved was the main level master mattress was very hard and seemed old but that is an easy fix. We would stay again here. Maggie was so sweet and had great communication!

Mountain cabin, yet still close

We prefer and enjoy the Wears Valley location that gives a true mountain experience, yet not too far of a drive to the park and towns. Recommend making the first drive up to the cabin in the daylight. It is a curvy climb, but no problems in our SUV with no ice or snow. The Bear Hug cabin has a wonderful view and many amenities and thoughtful touches. It is well furnished and we appreciate it is pet friendly.

Great Views and Location!

My family and I had a great time at Bear Hug! Check-in and check-out were super easy. The views were fantastic, and we loved being just far enough away from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

Wonderful stay!

Cabin was clean and had all amenities. The view of the mountains is amazing and even saw a bear from the back deck. Perfect for couples, families, or small groups. Very private and quiet.

Perfect thanksgiving week

Our family had an wonderful time at this cabin. The views are amazing from all three levels of the cabin. It was very clean when we arrived, and everything was exactly as described in the listing. The hosts checked in with us to make sure the cabin was to our liking. I don’t think we could have needed any other amenities to be comfortable and have a great time.

Bear Hug Cabin

Very nice cabin. Great views. All the bedrooms are very spacious. Beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. Everything works perfectly. The instructions are very clear and helpful. The kitchen/dining area/ living room is a little smaller. We were 6 adults and an infant. We had to stay indoors for the most of the time because of the weather and it felt a little cramped. You have to move the dining table to make room for 6 people. The jets in the hot tub are not very powerful. Overall we had a great time.

The Perfect Fit

On our way home from this little slice of heaven. We had a wonderful time. Our group included 4 adults (2 couples), a teenager, a kindergartener, and one under 2. That’s quite the range of personalities and ages to keep happy, but somehow this cabin achieved it. Some of our favorite touches included good quality cookware and flatware, stools in the bathroom for the littles to reach the sink, the high chair and pack n play, a door to the basement stairs we could keep closed for noise and to keep the littlest member of our party safe from the stairs, king beds on all 3 levels, and a balcony/deck with ample seating on all 3 levels. The teenager took the loft as his domain where he could escape as needed. The 2 adults with the littlest were at home on the main floor thanks to the bath tub and easy access to the kitchen. The other 2 adults with the kindergartener had run of the basement, and the kindergartener was over the moon that he got to sleep in a bunk bed in a game room. He bragged about it all weekend. The view is as beautiful as the pictures show, if not more-so. There were other cabins around, but we had complete privacy and didn’t have to look at anyone in our sightline of the Mountain View. Everything worked great and we appreciated the auto-off timers on things like the fire pit and fireplace plus the automatic locking front door lock - just one extra step of safety and less to stress about. We were also able to get DoorDash delivery without issue. Thank you!

Perfect Getaway

Very clean, comfortable cabin. Beautiful views and drive to get there. Could hear the neighbours from time to time but overall pretty secluded and peaceful. Had a great stay. Definitely recommend

Great views a little crowded in main area but had a very good time. Some little things could of been better very thin paper towels and had less then a half roll left no salt in shaker, one kitchen towel I thought they would of had sugar packets. I can see though that people might take these items with them 😞 the place was beautiful though great stay!!!

Relaxing stay!

Bear Hug cabin met all the needs of our family vacation getaway. From the cozy home, incredible mountain top views, and closeness to towns for family activities, we had a wonderful family vacation. We definitely will be returning in the future!

Relaxing and Beautiful

We really enjoyed our trip and the cabin was beautiful. The views were gorgeous and we were close to town. The kids loved the games downstairs. I highly recommend this property!

Stay Forever

We had a wonderful week here. Our 3 year old granddaughter wanted to stay forever. Property was neat and clean. It had everything we needed. Owners were very easy to communicate with. Hope to visit again.
