  • Esta encantadora casa de un dormitorio está situada en la ciudad fortificada de Senglea. Una península que se extiende hacia el espectacular Gran Puerto, Senglea forma parte de las 'Tres ciudades' maltesas y, junto con Cospicua y Vittoriosa, ofrece un cautivador ejemplo de la auténtica herencia maltesa. Con edificios antiguos que datan del siglo XVI, calles estrechas y atractivas, bastiones imponentes y vistas espectaculares del Gran Puerto, Senglea tiene mucho que ofrecer a sus habitantes. Ubicada en tres pisos, esta casa de carácter ofrece la oportunidad de combinar modernidad con tradición. Con una bodega, garigor original, escalera de caracol y terraza maltesa, la propiedad mantiene muchas de sus características tradicionales. Al entrar en un área de bienvenida, la escalera de piedra caliza en espiral conduce al primer piso, que consta de una cómoda sala de estar / cocina / comedor de planta abierta, mientras que el segundo piso tiene un dormitorio doble contemporáneo y un baño con ducha. En el nivel del techo, el excelente posicionamiento de esta casa de carácter está en plena pantalla. Clean, comfortable place with beautiful views and location

Had a wonderful stay in Senglea at this property situated just steps away from Gnein Gardjola, a nice park on the tip of the peninsula with a lovely view of Valletta, Vittoriosa, the harbor and the Mediterranean. And the views from the rooftop terrace are even more panoramic. The place itself was very comfortable, with a full complement of kitchen and bathroom features and other amenities. Good heaters in the bedroom and main living room, you just need to run them for a while before the rooms really heat up, as the stone walls and marble floors are heat syncs (I stayed in Feburary, outside temperature ranged between 10-16C or 50-60F). Senglea is a mostly residential area, somewhat sleepy compared to Valletta or especially Sliema and St.Julian which are busier and more commercial and tourist-y. It's about a 10 minute walk to the ferry to Valletta, and there are water front restaurants and some shops and bakeries on the way to the ferry in Cospicua, which is between Senglea and Vittoriosa. HIghly recommend this place!

Great location but fairly basic accommodation

We love the area and stay in Senglea every visit. This was the first time we stayed in this property. There were some good points and not so good points about the property. On the plus side, the view is amazing, the bed and living room sofa were very comfortable. But some things were not as expected when compared to many others we have rented. The dining furniture and the roof terrace table and chairs were uncomfortable and seemed very flimsy. The kitchen lacked many items we would consider basic (wooden spoons, eggcups, plenty of glassware of a decent size, an oven dish or two, cling film and tinfoil, some basic cleaning liquids, more than 2 tea towels, larger dinner plates, decent kitchen knives, etc). There was no washing machine liquid or capsules at all. The iron was the worst we’ve encountered and spat out water all over our clothes. There was no welcome pack of any sort, and we have neverr experienced that as there is usually a minimum of some bottled water and maybe a local wine. There was no information pack about the house/appliance instructions/ local amenities etc. the TV is not a smart tv so you cannot get Netflix or similar. It’s a shame as the house is cute but the basic nature of things did not sit well. We will always return to Malta but unfortunately not this rental.
