Parc estatal de Selkirk Shores

Accueil désagréable, entrée, réception et chambre très mal propre. Odeur épouvantable corridor et chambre. Draps et couvertures mal propres. Rideaux de douche et fenêtres défait. Toiles d’araignées dans la chambre, miroir bariolé. Pas de verre ( même plastique) pour se brosser les dents. Brûlures de cigarettes dans les draps. Expérience horrible.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff was nice. However, the elevator is DANGEROUS! They have a sign on the doors with tiny font to inform people the elevator might not work properly. This is something people won’t read. We got in the elevator and when it stopped the door opened and we were still 3 feet below. Had to go down and have the room changed to a lower level. Then everybody had to use the stairs for our entire stay. This happened for 5 days. The elevator wasn’t fixed and the sign wasn’t changed for something people could read easily. It was so dangerous that the elevator should have been be taped with yellow caution tape instead.

The good : well located with easy highway access to Route 81, Watertown, Sackets Harbor, and the Thousand Islands region within 10 to 25 minutes. Reasonably comfortable rooms. Good desk staff (when they are there). The bad: continental breakfast was poor. No breads of any kind. No fruits. Bitter Coffee. The desk staff often not there. Sought towels at 10pm. Rang the service phone at desk. No one came after over 5 minutes. I finally roamed till I found a guy. Internet wifi was almost non-functional - meaning too weak.
