Summary:
The Guadalupe River Haus is the perfect family getaway. Enjoy a private, fenced retreat on the riverfront that is pet friendly. The River Haus is the perfect blend of luxury living and rustic charm, there are plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces for the whole family to be together or get quiet time if needed. Enjoy a spacious 3 bedroom home with tons of outdoor areas to explore. Walk down to the river for a swim or watch the kids play from your second story deck overlooking the river.

The Space:
The Guadalupe River Haus is a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home on the Guadalupe River. Enjoy amazing views from the two story deck or walk down to the riverfront to fish, swim, or kayak. There is plenty of outdoor seating for the entire family to enjoy. We are pet friendly so bring your fur babies with you! There are two gated areas, one in the front yard and one in the back yard for the dogs to run around. We do ask that you pick up after your pets please! The inside of the house is unique in that the kid's room is on one side of the house, with their own TV, bunk beds, and games to enjoy. The River Haus is only 30 minutes from downtown San Antonio, 20 minutes from Schertz, and 20 minutes to New Braunfels if you want to experience the nightlife, restaurants, or shopping. Speaking of shopping the Premium Outlet Mall in San Marcos is only 30 minutes away. Update: the riverbed has grown vegetation which we are keeping trimmed down around the stairs. We have also hired a landscaper to maintain a path in both directions to the water. If you follow the path to the left that area is great for fishing for catfish and swimming. If you follow the path to the right that area is great for bass fishing and kayaking.

A very special place to be with family and friends. Really quiet and safe made me feel right at home. Would definitely recommend as a nice quiet small town weekend getaway.

We drove in from San Antonio for a wedding and stayed 2 nights! We loved the home and were very comfortable in our beds! We love being outside so the fire pit, the decks and even the front porch were enjoyed! We loved the games we found and enjoyed quality time in this home While enjoying coffee on the front porch we got to meet the neighbors who were so kind to us and lovely to chat with! We also loved our walks along the water and met more locals walking around the water front who were all very nice to talk to! We learned a lot about the river, the dam and history of the area! We can’t wait to come back soon!

The the house was clean and nicely decorated. There were several personal touches that we enjoyed. We didn’t spend much time there other than sleeping and showering.

Everything was good. The only thing you might want to check is the cleanliness of the oven. A pervious guest must have spilled something as when we cooked some potatoes, the oven became quite smoky! We wish there has been more water in the river, but understand the lack of water due to the ongoing drought.
