Large Country Estate in Downtown Sebastopol

This completely modernized historic century-old 5 bedroom colonial country house sits on 6 acres of stunning natural beauty in the heart of Sebastopol.

Walking distance to dozens of gourmet restaurants, great local coffee makers and bakers, wine bars, beer gardens and art galleries and artisanal ice cream. Plus Whole Foods and a 24-hour Safeway.

Back at the property you can relax in the vast backyard concrete patio with large hot tub overlooking a beautiful meadow.

Keep up on work with blazing fiberoptic gigabit WIFI and stream live news and sports on the house account or log into your own streaming services on the 85-inch screen in the living room, and four other big-screens throughout the house.

The back of the property is the Joe Rodota "walking trail" that connects Sebastopol to Santa Rosa. It is highly popular with daily dog walkers, joggers and mountain bikers and you are welcome to join them through the small private gate in our back fence.

Homeowner Melissa Denby and her husband Stephen just completed a top-to-bottom 4 year renovation to this beautiful country colonial home with the addition of some european touches to the art and themes of decor.

Everything was amazing except for communication. I had asked for possibly adding more days and as soon as I got a reply I immediately responded. I didn’t hear back for months but yet the changes were made and my balance had doubled. They had added the additional days that I never wanted. I had paid my stay in full. Then owed, got refunded, over charged. It was a nightmare. Apparently I still owe but have yet to hear from VRBO. As I was leaving the property I was warned that the host was a bit sketchy by the house cleaners. That the owners might be switching. Idk. She seemed ok to me, just got pushy after all this confusion. I’ve never had such a horrible experience. I do intend to make things right as I have always rented through VRBO.

Overall, found the house to be great for our family. The kitchen is very well stocked and there are many thoughtful amenities (extra towels & linens, laundry detergent, towels for hot tub, etc). The only downside was that the smoke detector went off twice for no reason.

This charming manor house has been lovingly updated with modern personal touches, appliances, and super comfy amenities. We felt right at home from the start and found everything super easy to use—the appliances, bathroom facilities, heat, hot tub, fire pit, ice maker, and coffee maker were all a breeze! It’s spacious enough for all six of us to enjoy. Plus, the location was perfect for hitting up wineries, Armstrong Redwoods, and San Francisco.

A wonderful place!

The house was perfect for our needs. We came from Michigan to host a celebration of life. The home was right near Ragle Ranch park where the event was. The details on this historic home were beautiful. Decor was very fun and fitting. Appliances all worked great and the outdoor space was wonderful for sitting and relaxing. The location is right near parks, stores (including multiple grocery stores) and downtown Sebastopol!

House was great!

We really enjoyed our stay, the house was beautiful and accommodating. It had plenty of space and amenities. We were able to cook meals, enjoy the hot tub, sit outside, etc. We would definitely recommend the house, and we would stay there again.

Had a lovely weekend getaway with 5 friends. The house had old world charm with modern amenities. Beautiful surroundings and very private. Loved that we could walk to town!

Xmas 2024

Very nice place. Just beautiful.The only problem we had was the oven didn't work well. It kept burning the cookies. Either over or under cooking them.Minor issue the alarm went off because of low batteries. We didnt have any batteries to replace it . So we deactivated the alarm so we could get some sleep before we left. Wiuld recommend it

Lovely place for a weekend getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at the Denby house. The best pats of the house are the open floor plan kitchen - dining area, and the spacious living room with ample couch space. We loved the plentiful glassware, plates, bowls, and great cookware. The water pressure was great, the mattresses were lovely, and there was a basket of soft towels in every room. The hot tub was easy to operate and easily accommodates 5-6 adults. The house is steps away from a lovely trail that runs to town in one direction and all the way to Grattan in the other direction, so it’s great for walkers. Things that would make the house even better would be more kitchen items for entertaining : serving platters, olive dishes and cutting boards, Thank you for a lovely stay!!!

Great!

This place was the perfect location for my friends and I to have our reunion and enjoy time with each other. The house was clean, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the backyard was beautiful. It was perfect for us to kickback and spend time together. The town nearby is also really cute.
