My stay at The Alexis Royal Sonesta Hotel was great a few hiccups but it was enjoyable. I stayed in a king 1 bedroom suite. The suite has a lot of large windows which allows lots of light and views of the city. The suites are equipped to handle hearing and visual impaired guest. The decor is beautiful and the suite is very spacious. I ended up purchasing a deodorizing air spray because my suite had a very stale smell to it. The heat in the room wouldn't go higher than 75 which is fine in the daytime but at night in the fall or winter the suite was very cold especially the bedroom. The suite has no kitchen and small refrigerator is filled with purchasable items so it was hard to store personal items. Microwaves are provided upon request.
I didn't rent a car because a lot of attractions are a walkable distance from the hotel and for those that don't like walking public transportation is everywhere. A daily day pass is 6.00 and it can be used on the bus and light rail. Rideshares are available however they are somewhat pricey due to the additional fees and taxes. The same is true for food delivery and parking.
This was my 1st time visiting Seattle as an adult, this city has fees and surcharges on everything. The hotel requires a deposit of 100. per night and yes the deposit is refundable, there is a daily destination tax fee of 28.93, 12.00 of this fee can be used daily at the bookstore bar as long as you charge the bill to your room.
