"The home was centrally located just off the highway. There are MANY steel steps to enter the home, just be aware of traveling with older parents or small kids. It is right on the water with a dock which was great for fishing. We spent most of the time sitting on the back deck enjoying the view. "The property manager contacted us as expected and check in was easy. Inside and outside, the home was nothing as advertised. Nails sticking out of the walls, dishwasher not attached so it falls out when you pull out the rack; old cars, broken chairs, lawnmowers, old pool, old jacuzzi, a winebego, a boat and toilet seat all strewn around the yard. "The staff was super friendly and helpful! The camp had allot to off the kids and plenty of room to roam around. If you need supplies there are stores within a 6 minute drive. We all had a good time."

Our family of six (including four teenage boys) stayed comfortably at the house. It felt like borrowing a friend's well-stocked vacation home. "Went to check-in. Didn't have my reservations. Waited 50 minutes before the error was rectified. Turned out main office at Kings Plantation never sent my reservation to the resort. The resort had to message someone due to the fact the main office only is open until 5:00. I had reserved a cottage. This was not a cottage it was more like a duplex. We could here the people next door. The stayed up late and got up early. So we had prolems sleeping. Pool was nice."

"The house itself was spot on, accurate description overall met our expectations. Our kiddos enjoyed the beach area and being able to swim in the bay. Outside was less than desirable. Grass was unkept, trees cut up laying throughout the yard, fence falling down. The parking was suspect. A little TLC would a long way. "

"Our son flew in from Nashville and our daughter flew in from Pittsburgh to meet us in Norfolk. This property is in Hampton just minutes from Buckroe Beach. It’s a great beach with lifeguards on duty till 6:00. This is the nicest house in the neighborhood and was just perfect for us. "
