"We had a good time at The Refuge. A little house in the country that felt homey and inviting. Rebecca was super responsive whenever I contacted her. A nice alternative to a hotel room."

"Nice property, very clean, everything was as advertised. We only had one issue. On the morning of checkout we realized the dishwasher did not work. It's possible there was something quirky about it and we didn't jiggle the handle in the proper way but we just hand washed the dishes we had used, no big deal but the owner will want to check this out. Other than that one small issue, everything was fine. We would stay here again!"

"Beautiful, clean, comfortable, spectacular views. The property was exactly as advertised and pictures were accurate. Kitchen had everything you need if you decide to cook-in. Pots and pans in great shape. This was the best of any rental that we have stayed in. It is a lovely property. Highly recommend and would absolutely rent again."

"Perfect location and accommodations. Just far enough off the main roads to be secluded but not too far to go out and do things. The cabin is set up with everything you need and lots of extras. We will definitely book again."

"Very nice stay and cabin was clean. Close proximity to several wineries and about 20-25 minutes to Charlottesville and Shenandoah NP, so great location if you want a quiet and scenic area with plenty of fun day trips."

"We rented this property for a graduation party in town. It met all of our needs. The one bathroom was a bit of challenge for the 5 of us that stayed but, it was nothing some scheduling didn't solve. It was clean and the host was very responsive. "

"House was perfect and close to John Paul Jones arena and many restaurants. Would recommend this property."

"If you’re looking for a peaceful, secluded outdoor oasis, then this is the place for you. The accommodations are modest and quite small for a family. However, if you are spending most of your time outside and don’t need a full kitchen then it would probably fit your needs well. We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit, taking in the views and soaking in the hot tub. "

"We stayed here over graduation weekend and it couldn't have been more perfect. The hosts were great, friendly and helpful. I was nice to be a little away from the craziness. The house is amazing and the grounds were awesome too!"

"The room is just as pictured and was clean, had a comfortable bed, 7 farm fresh eggs, plenty of pans and plates. Unfortunately, the shower pressure was weak, and there was no place to hang clothes, but we made do with both issues! The hosts were responsive and it was easy to check in."

"Stayed here with extended family with kids and adults and it was perfect! My nieces and nephews spent hours on the tree swing! A great set up for everyone to stay together but also have privacy. Gorgeous location too!"
