Step back in time when you visit the historic charm of this one story home in Grayton Beach and recall the days of fun in the sun and beach blanket bingo. As you cross the threshold, you will be transported back to simpler days when relaxing was something you did with a book and shiplap was good ole wood paneling. This laid back 3 bedroom 2 bath home is all about cozy comfort and understated beauty. Everyday life cares will seem a distant memory as you immerse yourself in this idyllic home.

This laid back three bedroom two bath home is all about cozy comfort and understated beauty. The large living area extends to your left and invites you to sit back and enjoy the serene calm of the seaside lifestyle. The wrap around family room boasts retro wooden accents and oversized furniture that beckons you to sink in and relax. It is the perfect setting for curling up with a great novel, spending a little quality time with a board game or a great puzzle, or enjoying the modern comforts of a flat-panel Smart TV. Moving into the home from the entryway brings you into a private sitting room featuring a decorative fireplace and plush furnishings that seemingly beckon you to sit back and enjoy a classic mint julep. As you relax, you can almost hear Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes singing the class “I’ve Had the Time of My Life” and you get the sense that if you look around the corner, you’ll catch a glimpse of Baby and Johnny Castle giggling as they share an ice cream sundae in the kitchen. Or perhaps it is just the classic film “Dirty Dancing” playing on the flat screen television tucked away on the wall.

The living space of this wonderfully classic home offers plenty of room for the entire family to do their own thing without losing that sense of togetherness that will forget the foundation of vacation memories you will cherish for a lifetime! The home also features modern conveniences of high speed Internet and cable television service.

Your kids (and perhaps you as well) will be gone in sixty seconds when they learn that’s how long it will take them to get to the sandy white shores of the world’s most beautiful beaches! Just steps away is picturesque Grayton Beach offering ample room for you and your family to setup your beach chairs or blankets and work on the perfect tan or splash around in the beautiful waters. One of the unique facets of Grayton Beach is it is one of the few locations in Walton County where some of the locals have permits to drive on specific areas of the beach. At the end of the day, it’s not uncommon to see a few jeeps backed up onto the sand facing the ocean with folks enjoying some of the most beautiful sunsets you will see anywhere. But fear not, only a small number of permits are allocated to residents via an annual lottery so you won’t see many vehicles out there. It’s just one of the many features of the area that contribute to the classic surf town vibe you cannot help but get caught up in when you visit.

At the end of the day, when you are ready to relax and recharge your batteries for the adventures you’ll have tomorrow, you will not be disappointed! The first bedroom is located in the front right of the home and perfect for the kids — a quaint bedroom that hosts two twin beds surrounded by white washed walls and picture-perfect windows. Nestled in the center of the home is the perfect hideaway for day time sleepers or someone who just needs a few extra Z’s to push back memories of the 9 to 5 workday of life back home. The room features a queen bed and a flat panel Smart Television where you can tune into Beach TV to find out about all the local hot spots. At the rear of the house, is the master suite outfitted with a bed that is fit for a king, a flat screen Smart TV and a small ensuite bathroom. NOTE: This home has parking at the front for three small cars side by side or two SUVs side by side. No additional parking spots are available. Please do not move railroad ties at the right side of the home to park as there is a well located there that could get damaged.

After a fun filled day frolicking on the beach, you can prepare a wondrous family feast because while the home reminds you of simpler times, the newly remodeled kitchen is outfitted with state of the art stainless steel appliances and everything you need to whip up the perfect family meal! And fear not, if your dream beach vacation does NOT involve cooking, the home is situated in the heart of Grayton Beach so you are surrounded by fantastic restaurants. You are steps away from Chiringo which features spanish-style dishes served in a colorful, rustic-chic setting with outdoor seating & gulf views. Across the street from Chiringo is the renowned Red Bar which is expected to re-open summer 2020. For breakfast foodies, the HIbiscus Cafe is a seven minute walk up Defuniak Street. Walk another eight minutes and you’ll be able to enjoy Crackings or the Bad Ass Coffee Company! Enjoy a fantastic lunch or dinner at the Grayton Brewpub or AJ’s Grayton Beach. If you are in search of the perfect seafood dinner served up with a surfer vibe then walk on over to Grayton Seafood - a fishing shack-themed eatery. If that isn’t enough, you are a half mile from the Mystic Porte shopping center where you’ll find charming local shopping as well as a few more eateries such as Roux 30A, Hurricane Oyster Bar & Grill, Chanticleer Eatery, the Black Bear Bread Company and the Grayton Corner Cafe.

Guests can access all areas of the home itself, but the garage space is not available. Parking is limited to two vehicles (side by side) at the gravel bay parking area in front of the home. Please do not move the railroad ties at the right side of the home. No parking is allowed beyond the front parking area due to a well located at the side of the property.

When you book your Grayton Beach vacation rental, you are sure to enjoy one of the more distinct and unique lifestyles on Scenic 30A. Grayton Beach is the cozy, artistic, funky beach on 30-A where everyone is friendly and things hardly ever change. The streets are lined with trees and covered in oyster-shells, store signs are nothing short of spirited artwork, and the natural beauty of the area is incomparable.

One of the great benefits of booking your rental in Grayton Beach, FL is access to one of the area's agricultural gems, Grayton Beach State Park. This State Park is an outdoor enthusiast's dream spot, stretching 2,200 acres through sand dunes, scrub oaks and one of the largest dune lakes in the area, Western Lake. There are two trails to hike and bike along, as well as the dune lake, a perfect spot for kayaking or a little stand up paddle boarding!

Along with agricultural landmarks, Grayton Beach is home to one of the most well-known watering holes on Scenic 30A, The Red Bar (scheduled to reopen in 2020)! For years locals and visitors alike have enjoyed a cocktail with a large order of live music on the side. The eclectic decor, the warm and friendly vibe from all the patrons, and the always promising talent playing some tunes all swirl together to provide a unique evening experience every visitor to a Grayton Beach vacation rental should enjoy!

1. Smoking is NOT allowed. Evidence of smoking in the unit after guest departure will be subject to an additional cleaning fee charged to the guest who the reservation is under.
2. People other than those noted in the booking may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest.
3. All our properties are privately owned; property management and the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. Property management and the homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises and recreational gear provided with the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
4. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order.
5. Only use appliances for their intended uses.
6. Bed linens and bath towels are included in the home. Please do not use rental houses linens at the beach or pool. Beach towels are not provided in the home.
7. Please know we do not rent to student groups or to guests under the age of 25. Guest whose name is on the reservation must be present for the duration of the stay.
8. This IS NOT a pet friendly property. Evidence of pets in the unit after guest departure will be subject to a $300 fee charged to the guest who the reservation is under.

*Homes left in complete disarray will be subject to an additional cleaning fee. Listing sites will be provided with photographs.
