I don’t even know where to begin, but here goes. I first saw the pictures of the resort via Expedia and everything appeared great, pool running looking good, villa looking good etc. When I arrived for a four night stay, there is a long dirt/muddy road to get to the property once on the property two dogs approached us and were barking. Apparently that is the Manager’s pets that kind of watch over the entire place. Once I checked in, I was just giving the key and not explained anything. Once I got to the room and put everything down that’s when I went back to the front desk area located outside. I asked about Wi-Fi. I was informed that they have a virus on the Wi-Fi and could not be used. I also asked about laundry service services because on the website it states that they do laundry service, I was told we have to go offsite to another laundry service as they do not do that. The pool was not working and I was told that it was under construction, but clearly there was no construction being done. It was a cesspool of mosquitoes growing inside that green looking big pond inside the pool. Inside the actual vilIa was staying, birds were flying in the first two mornings, I was on the property. I informed the manager/front desk after the second day. They ended up putting some rags in the area where the birds were coming in from that seem to stop it. The third night it rained pretty hard in those a good thunderstorm, rain was falling in trickling in different areas. All in all bad exp

It’s truly a paradise here. More than I ever expected the experience to be. Nice staff, excellent food and a very quiet atmosphere. Rooms were amazing and has hot running water for bathing or showering. Sea is very close and has beautiful beaches.

A more secluded beautiful resort with very helpful and friendly staff. We enjoyed our nightly stroll to the touristy MJ Square either along the beach or along the road. Highly recommend if you want a bit more solitude.

The resort is nice and secluded. It is within walking distance from the ferry and the the town if you chose. The property is well maintained and the lodges are spacious and comfortable. Some items could be upgraded but overall, the next time I go to Bantayan I will once more stay at Hoyohoy Villias.

Very relaxing and and has big open spaces. Not a lot of people walking by the beach which makes the area relaxing. Only downside I saw that its 5 minutes by car to Santa Fe center where the good restaurants are.

Quiet, relaxing stay. Some of their food was pricey. We were expecting coffee was part of the complimentary. Staff was great especially CJ and Nelbert. But no managers around.

Staff was nice. Showerhead in the assigned room was broken so just opted to downgrade stay in any available room. Needs more maintainance on all amenities. Too pricey for the experience

The property is well thought out and designed. Just that some glass panels have spaces for bugs to get in. The staff was marvelous and very accommodating. The air conditioning unit was plenty strong in our room and comfortable. The beach is too close to the Ferry landing and debris from it is frequent along the beach. It was secluded and you have very good privacy. Some re touching and remodeling will make it shine again, for this I am sure.

Awful place

Air conditioner didnt cool the room. The room was full of mosquitoes, . The pool had not been cleaned. The grounds needed landscaping. There was trash down by the beach. The water was not accessible from the property, so really no private beach as advertised. They swept the road, but left trash everywhere else on the property.

Anläggningen är i stort behov av renovering. Flera av villorna var redan tagna ur bruk, och villan vi bodde i läckte i takets mitt när det regnade, med påföljd att vi var tvungna att flytta in sängen mot väggen för att den inte skulle bli blöt. Vi var enda gästerna på hela anläggningen ända fram till vår sista kväll där. Då kom det ytterligare gäster i en villa. Vi gick för skojs skull in på olika bokningssajter och kikade på beläggningen, men det låg som fullbokat på samtliga sajter trots att vi var helt ensamma där. Den ”dygnet-runt-öppna receptionen fanns det ingen i efter kl. 21 på kvällen, då också restaurangen (som vi inte tror var i bruk mer än till frukosten) släckte ner. Känslan av att vara helt ensamma upplevdes otrygg nattetid. Under de fyra dygn vi hade villan till förfogande erbjöds vi städning endast en gång. Då vi en kväll innan receptionen stängde bad om mer toalettpapper fanns det inget sådant att uppbåda, så vi fick snällt vänta till nästa morgon. Poolen är liten men fin, men tyvärr ser den inte särskilt ren ut vilket gjorde att vi avstod från att använda den. Det är svårt att hitta till stället eftersom det saknas en skylt med hotellnamnet ute vid vägen, nästan som att de faktiskt inte vill ha några gäster. Nattsömnen stördes av närheten till färjeterminalen. Personalen är korrekt men inte överdrivet trevlig. Ett plus för frukosten. Vi vill så gärna tycka om detta stället för det är faktiskt väldigt snyggt, men i nuläget avråder vi andra från att boka det.

The place was the worst place ive been to in 20 Years. It looked abandoned. No water for hours . A/C didn't cool the villa. No food or drink available even though charged for same. The pool was an algea color green. The grounds nor the beach were sweep. After we got our key the only staff lady left We left the next morning. The property looked abandoned in the morning. We arrived about 8 pm. Even then it looked scary. Worse in tbe light. It should not be on any travel service. A refund was refused even after all the complaints The one lady that took our key when we left said she understood our reasons for leaving

Neglected

In a word... Neglected. The facility as a whole is in much need of repair. Not just the thatched roofs of the villas, but the wood rot on the eves as well as much of concrete that has broken away from the rusting rebar. The staff was courteous and location was quiet. The entrance to the resort is not clearly marked so is easy to miss. Swimming pool is small, easy to mistake as a koi fish pond. Wi-Fi only accessible outside on grounds or lower level of the villa, not inside the villa. Villa appeared clean, though still managed to contract HFM Disease, had to cut our stay short because of needing medical attention on mainland. Resort refused to reimburse/refund for unused days. In the end, a not so romantic, romantic retreat. Will not be returning.

Hôtel de charme, service, dommage manque entretien

Cet hôtel pourrait être idyllique si seulement l'entretien général navait pas été oublié depuis des mois. Douche extérieure : peinture délabrée, flexible HS dalle sol à stabiliser. Salle de bain : peinture plafond à refaire, robinet lavabo à fixer. Chambre : mobilier en mauvais état, TV absente, le frigo a dû être remplacé. Par contre la climatisation était silencieuse et efficace. La piscine était HS depuis pas mal de temps... heureusement sur notre instance, comme par hasard, elle a pu être réparée le lendemain soir... son nettoyage pourrait être amélioré. Quel dommage tous ces détails, car les bungalows couleur locale inspiration grenier à riz sont splendides , le jardin décoré et arboré avec goût, le personnel est très aimable et serviable, petit-déjeuner bon et bien présenté. Un petit bémol : la proximité du terminal maritime génère du bruit : le bruit de moteur des gros bateaux est fort quand on dort vers 5 heures du matin... Il n'y a pas grand chose à faire pour rendre à cet hôtel son état initial et profiter à plein de tout son charme : merci à la direction de faire un effort en ce sens. Les commentaires deviendraient alors élogieux. Cest probablement le seul hôtel de Bantayan qui a autant de charme local.

Nous avons quitté le restaurant sans avoir mangé ,4 chats sous la table ,le serveur s’est engagé En disant qu’ils les enfermaient en vain .insectes dans la chambre (Iules ). Un accès dans la boue ,le chemin inondé ,aucune réaction pour combler par quelques cailloux .Heureusement une seule nuit car c’est lamentable ,les personnels dévoués n’ ont pas pas les moyens de compenser le manque de présence de la direction . Chambres propres et literie au top. Piscine vraiment petite et la plage de l’hôtel n’est pas nettoyée... plastiques et algues partout. Pour le prix un petit coup de râteau le matin à marée basse ne ferait pas de mal ! Le petit déjeuné est hors de prix (375 php). Personnel agréable.

Keine Sitzgelegenheit am Zimmer , beim Frühstück Fliegenatacke und jeden Tag hat etwas anderes gefehlt am 4. Tag kein Kaffee mehr ! Nach 4 Tagen immernoch kein SMB Pilsen , Strand nicht so toll nichts um zu Schwimmen , Oersonal macht nur das nötigste , Zimmer wurden jeden Tag geputzt und Handtücher gewechselt ! Keine aufhänge möglichkeit für kleidung und Handtuch draussen vor dem Zimmer. Für Raucher keine legale möglichkeit zu rauchen ausser am Strand ! Was wirklich fehlt ist ein kleiner Kühlschrank im Zimmer ! War ok , würde es nicht mehr buchen !!!
