Come enjoy this two bedroom one bath property minutes away from Playa Lagarto. An hour and 30 minutes away from Liberia Airport; 40 minutes from Tamarindo and 20 minutes from Marbella. This beach villa is in a secured gated community situated in a private area with spectacular ocean view. Come relax in the pool with a refreshing drink, or enjoy a hiking while explore nature throughout the resort. Property includes hydro, electricity, internet, and washer/dryer. Please note: A vehicle is necessary due to proximity to amenities.
Additional information: A reserve water tank was installed in April 2023.
Pool is cleaned daily by an experienced pool maintenance employee from the resort.

I feel this property is misleading. First, there is no beach, not for miles. I couldn't see the ocean but it was cloudy. My idea of a resort is not this. Maps don't bring you here easily. Its minimally maintained gravel roads that cross creeks and ruts and need 4wd to get up the hills. You are 20 minutes from a paved road out in the middle of nowhere. We only stayed 1 night out of 7 because of all the insect activity. Travelocity deemed itvan infestation after contacting them with pictures of large spiders on the wall, dead ones all over, scorpions running around in the house. The host admitted nobody had been theresince December. Thankfully my credit card covered the deceptive description. I would attach pictures if I could.

Had a blast!

One of the best vrbo rental we’ve stayed at. Host was available at any time and the place was great. Close to our favorite surf spots and a very comfortable house. Would definitely be back again!! Thanks Wesley!

Awesome stay in the jungle!

We had a blast at this place, the staff and host were very helpful and we felt extremely comfortable and safe the entire time. The view from the pool was amazing. It was great to have a nice place to go back to after a long day at the beach. Would definitely recommend staying here and would come back next time we are in gunacaste. Thanks to Wesley and the whole crew!

Beautiful Pacific Coast Villa

A very nice, quiet and private villa with a great view of the sunset over the Pacific Ocean. The roads in the area are challenging especially at night. Our family had a wonderful week and everyone really enjoyed having a private pool

Difficult Isolated Stay

I don't even know where to start. I booked Welsey's home for 14 nights. We were traveling around Costa Rica and flexible with the location so when we found out the location was a different part of the country than shown on VRBO (near Nicaragua), we changed our transportation. We arrived at a new home that is not quite ready for guests. For the first 30 hours of our stay, we had no water. When we arrived, there was no power. There were bugs lining each of the entry points, used soap in the bathroom, and it hadn't been cleaned in a while. We received 2 rolls of toilet paper and no trash bags for our 2-week stay. Our taxi driver got stuck and had to be pushed up the hill. You have to cross (literally forge) 3 creeks to get to the house. For 5 full days of our 15-day stay, we were without water. Welsey did all that he could but the property management was horrible. The first time the water pump broke and it took 2 full days to fix. The second time a breaker went out on the water pump. There was literally no water on the day we checked out so we couldn't shower or wash our dishes. During the first five days of our stay, the pool was not clean. Multiple groups of people came out and walked around the house looking at it. This was not very private. Multiple times at night "security" would drive down and shine lights in the windows. The pool was not clean until the 6th day. Plus there are many tiles peeling off. Our two-year-old got a bacterial infection from swimming in the pool water. He was throwing up and had diarrhea for 7 days. The day he threw up, the water was turned off for 2 days. So we couldn't wash his sheets and there were no extra. The taxi cost is $90 one way to Tamarindo to the nearest supermarket and medical clinic- if you can get someone to drive out and pick you up. The doctor's visit and lab testing were $190. The pros were: the beds were comfortable, the pool was nice when we could use it, monkeys in the trees nearby, large high-pressure shower, and the house was new. The living room furniture was uncomfortable and there were no extra appliances like a blender and toaster. It seems blenders are common at vacation rentals in Costa Rica. We stayed all over Costa Rica for a month and a half and this was our most difficult stay. We were stuck out at this house with no car, a sick kid, and ran out of food. I would not stay here again and hope that the issues are fixed (like adding a water reservoir) before more guests are hosted.

Very peaceful!

Our family of four spent four days at Wesley’s villa. It was so incredibly peaceful! I spent every morning with my binoculars and coffee watching many birds and butterflies. I never realized I was a bird watcher until my stay here! The howler monkeys climbed through the trees right in front of the pool. There were 15 monkeys in the trees just one minute walk down the road as well. The stars at night were amazing too. We went to Tamarindo one day, spent one day at the larger pool on the main property, but, we mostly enjoyed just relaxing at Wesley villa and private pool. The villa is remote and the road was a little tricky…but part of the adventure. We did drive it with just a little car, but a larger vehicle might be something to consider. Thanks again Wesley for sharing your place with us!
