"The cottage was so very charming and it definitely felt one stepped back in time! THe location was superb. Wonderful positive surprises (did not pick up fully in the listing) included the gas powered fireplaces (there are two!) and cozy, private garden patio in back. One item I missed on the listing was that there was only one Bath/shower and it was on the main floor - not where the bedrooms are located - that said, the water was hot and there were plenty of cushy towels! "It was a cute cottage. The neighborhood is run down though. It’s surrounded by trailers that are all rusty. The door knob to the bathroom broke while we were there and we got locked in a couple times which was scary. The hot tub needed maintenance and the fire pit didn’t work. The house could use some updates and a new couch but it did its job. It was fun. I had a good time in Ohio. I’m a New Yorker it was a nice weekend trip. "

"Our family stayed for an extended weekend in the spring. The cabin is situated in a lovely setting and offers trails on site. The workmanship of the reassembled 1830s log cabin was amazing. All the details were greatly appreciated. We enjoyed several bonfires and grilled over the wood fire with the newly added grill top. The grandkids had fun on the rope swings. The front porch is so large and inviting. The town of Somerset is nearby and had several great restaurants. Also close to Buckeye...

"We had a great stay while moving our daughter back to Kenyon. The location can't be beat. Everything was spotless and the amenities are perfect. We didn't get to use the patio, but it's a beautiful space. We saw two neighborhood cats who liked to hang out under our car, so that was a special treat. Christy and Bob are super responsive and it was great having them as our hosts. "

"Hot tub is wonderful, although we didn’t use it due to being so busy fishing. The property is pet friendly. There is plenty of stuff to do around the home. The lake is not far. There is a good pizza place and some stores within 5 minutes of the place. There is plenty of supplies there at the home also. They keep it very equipped with dishes, cooking materials, and towels. I would come back."
