"Great location by the water and close to gas/food/highway. The room seemed clean but the fact that someone's stale pizza was sitting in the fridge was not encouraging. Poor lighting didn't help confidence either. Plus the bathroom fan clanked away something terrible."

"This is an old motel that I believe is being renovated one room at a time. Unfortunately, our room was not one of the newly renovated ones and was, quite frankly, disgusting! We are not picky but have an expectation of clean. The only thing that was clean was the bed. The floor had not been vacuumed, the fridge was dirty, the microwave was filthy and I could hardly bring myself to even use the bathroom, certainly no shower was had. Even if there had been some attempt to clean the room, this...

"Excellent experience with the staff, friendly and helpful. Simple, clean, comfortable room; with easy parking right outside the door. Free wifi is a plus too you don't normally see in a motel in this style. The bar & grill next door was an excellent place to stop - great burger & pint combo. I'm not big on all the fancy and niceties of the big chains - I like simple & friendly. Think I've found my new favorite stop in the Sault"

"Terrible. Booked as they were open late at front desk, arrived and no one was there, another guest was also waiting to check-in. We called multiple times and ran the door bell, finally someone came. Room was terrible, we slept with our own blanket from the car and pillows we luckily had. Waste of money would have rather slept in the car."

"Dirty unclean, no blankets. Unresponsive staff for heating. Luckily I was moving and had a small heater in the car. Busy body staff don't want to get out of the office and his bedroom behind front desk."

"Our air/heat was not operational through the actual unit. It ran too hot or too cold so we had nothing. The unit was not even put together properly it would be quite obvious to staff. The area around the fridge was awful. Filthy. Had a hard time being comfortable. Moving hotels wasn't practical. The location is not good for food choices at all. Was told not to leave change visible in my vehicle so I guess parking lot security is non existent. Wouldn't stay here again."

"Expedia customers rarely get main-floor rooms. Not surprisingly, my room was on the 2nd floor. I am a senior and asked for a main floor room as there is no elevator. That request was declined. I asked for assistance with my luggage up the stairs to the 2nd floor. That was declined."
