Perfect mid-century beach house JUST A 5-MINUTE WALK FROM THE BEACH! Across a quiet street from a beautiful park & duck pond. Sunny, open, bright home! Quiet neighborhood but a short walk to excellent restaurants and a grocery. You'll have the entire house to yourselves -- 4 bedrooms with closets, 2 full baths, full kitchen, living room, extra rec room, washer/dryer, barbeque grill – even Foosball! Fully stocked with kitchen supplies & linens. Plenty of on-site parking. We even provide free snacks! Ideal for families or friends.
 
When you rent a vacation home you often only deal with a large property management company. They’re typically available only Monday to Friday, 9 to 5. And even if you reach them during office hours it can take days to solve an issue – usually after you’ve checked out. And you often have to check in, fill out paperwork and get keys at their office, which can be miles away.

Our names are Melany & Jon. We're experienced Superhosts and we own and manage this fully-licensed home ourselves. We’ve lived here for 30 years – California’s Central Coast is heaven on Earth to us! Your key will be waiting for you at the house in a lock-box. We live 5 minutes from the property and are available to help 24/7. You’ll have our personal cell number -- call or text ANYTIME! We’ll deal with any issue immediately. We are familiar with all the local shopping, activities, and restaurants (honestly we eat out too much). We’d LOVE to recommend places and activities to make your stay absolutely amazing!!

I give this a 5 star because the hosts were amazing and very available for anything we needed. The location is great with a fun park across the street and a short walk to the beach. The couches were not that comfortable. The beds were very soft and comfortable. I do feel there should be attention to detail on some areas that were not that clean. The housekeeper needs to put in bit more elbow grease on areas of the kitchen and floors and outdoor furniture. But in all, it was a very pleasant stay.

The Basics with a Good Location

Let me start by saying that the location (across from the City park and near the Dunes) and communication with owners was top notch. They allow dogs (but it’s not a closed yard) and the rooms are nice in size. It has laundry and a working kitchen. For a group of 20 somethings wanting to stay close to the beach at a no frills place, it’s a good fit.The cons? There were beer cans and other trash left in the closets from the last visitors, there was mold on the shower curtains and tubs, and no water pressure in the main bathroom due to a leaky shower head. It was well used but more important, didn’t really “feel” clean. The towels provided were beach towels only, and the comforters and mattress cushions were very worn and ripped in multiple places. The floors and bedding felt dirty even though the owners have signs highlighting the efforts used to clean and sanitize the home. Also (not the owner’s fault), the neighbor’s dog barked most of the first night we stayed there. It wasn’t as bad the second night.

Disaster bungalow

The property should not be listed in your web site. It’s a total ripoff. The appliances are archaic and not functioning. Living quarters have only couches meant for children. Lacks cleanliness , cleaning utensils, words cannot describe the cooking utensils. We felt we were staying in a South Africa township

Pismo Trip

We had teenage grandsons and younger ones. (age 1 & 4)The park across the street was so fun. The pond nearby was amazing, we saw beavers, a raccoon, bats and a variety of birds. 5 minute walk to the beach. FUN!!!

Needs fixing/remodel

The place is alright, quite old and needs some basic remodel.We only stayed here one night. Both bathrooms were old and had issues. Hot water not working on one and the second bathroom, the sink was not draining. So we were down to 1 bathroom for ALL showers and second was merely a the powder room, for Sink usage.The owner did show up to check in the morning at 10.15 but it was so close to check out time that there was no time to repair. However, we clearly saw that it was a Chronic problem hence putting it out here so they fix it and others dont have the same issue. They offered late check out only cause there was no one checking in that day (we were offered discount the checkout morning to stay longer)Also, 2 of the hallway futons, we could not convert to the bed. So the place needs uplifting on our opinion.

Nice home close to the beach

very cozy place. would recommend going to the beach if staying here. we enjoyed the nearby park too. lots of sleeping space with large beds and multiple futons. wish the foosball table was a bit bigger but it's actually very small.

Cozy House with Walking Distance to Beach

We stayed here two years ago and booked again for this year. Cozy home, love the wood ceiling and beams. Enjoyed the fact that we all could be together, and the kitchen had tools, pots, pans and spices! Wonderful that all 4 rooms have King-sized beds. Melany and Jon were very responsive and accommodating- they checked on a DVD, and confirmed they had a crockpot. High winds blew a palm frond onto one of the bedroom's roof and to the patio, and they immediately said they could come over and remove it. We said it was fine. Casual, beachy, and welcoming home. Thank you!

Disappointing Stay

I have to say that this is the first time I have ever complained about a stay at a VRBO. We were scheduled for 4 nights and we left after the first night because it was so uncomfortable. First, I would give the host a 10 for communication, but we felt that the house itself was not as described. Besides not being the cleanest place, it hadn’t been updated in a very long time from what we could see and the heater wasn’t working properly, (the Host did respond and offered to come fix it before we left) and some of the pictures on the website didn’t match what we expected. The pictures of the dining table had matching wine glasses and plates and they were no where to be found. The “Wine cabinet” had five unmatching glasses. The towels were thin and old. The outdoor table wasn’t the nice blue chairs, table and umbrella as in the picture, in reality it was rusty chairs and small tables and no umbrella. The fan in one bathroom was filthy and the tub needed resurfacing. We were planning a family tournament with the foosball table depicted as a full size table, but in all actuality there were two tiny foosball tables that were attached to the flimsiest legs I have ever seen. Fortunately we were able to find a beautiful place in Pismo Beach that was one block from the beach, was modern, allowed dogs and was beautifully appointed for the same price.

PERFECT FOR A MAMMA MIA BACH TRIP

not only did i love my stay at this house, but so did the entire bridal party! we didn’t have to decorate much because of the existing theme of blue and boho! jon & melany were great hosts and very communicative! our only notes were updated sink faucets & shower curtains, deadbolt locks, & more pots/pans. other than that it is a perfect stay! :)

Spacious & quiet

Dog & 4 adults stayed to be on the outskirts of CalPoly graduation. We slept well, showers were great, and we enjoyed the park and short 1/2 mile walk to the dune/ ATV beach. Not fancy, but quieter and less expensive than SLO
